Did she lose? It sounded like a bomb exploded in Dahlia's head. She still couldn't believe it and turned to Lily whom upon their gaze connecting, looked away like a guilty prisoner. She was right, the girl was lying. 

Then, why didn't the vampire notice that, or maybe, Lady Victoria was in cahoots as well? Could it be that no one in the palace liked her? That rejection stung like a bee, but this time, the venom shot straight to her heart instead.

However, the truth of the matter was that Lily had indeed tripped, and Persephone was the one who pushed her and thus, had a hand in her fall. But Lily wouldn't tell anyone that.
