Chương 1: I DON'T HATE YOU:I LOVE YOU
Maserati pulled up at the restaurant entrance Jim stepped up of the car looking all handsome and sharp in his navy slim fit suit.
"Good day Sir"
"Good day" Jim said handed the car keys to the valet attendant then he walked the restaurant then his phone rang "Yes Amber"
"Hello sir, since you are not in the office should I reschedule your meeting"
"No push it to 3:30 we shouldn't seem desperate to get this deal"
"Okay sir" Amber whispered
"Thanks Amber" Jim ended the call and walked to the restaurant hostess "Hello"
"Good day sir, how are you?'
"I'm good thank you ah I have reservation under Jim Shawn"
"Okay" the hostess checked on the computer "Yes there it is this way please" the hostess leaded Jim to his table
"Thank you" Jim sat down and looked at the menu as he was about order one of the kids who used to bully him at high school saw him.
"Jim Shawn holy shit it is you how have you been man?"
Jim looked up at his former school mate "Jake".
Jake sat down across from Jim "Look at you all suited up you Mr CEO now, remember how poor you were back in high school I didn't think you would ever become this"
Jim stood up "Jake look at the time excuse me I have to go and by the way you are right I was poor back in high school that's a thing about the past I never dwell on it that is why now I'm more rich then your past and present life" Jim then walked away leaving Jake shocked out of his boots Jim went outside and waited for the valet attended to bring his car as his still waiting he felt someone watching but when he look around no one is there.
The valet attended came with the car and got out handing the keys to Jim "There you go sir"
"Thank you" Jim got in the car and drove off, while driving he made the call to his Brain his friend
"Jim" Brain said
"Brain hey how are you my friend?"
"I'm alright I saw on TV you are back in Cape Town"
"Yeah I've been caught up with work hey I've been working this project that I don't have time for anything, anyway let's leave this for another day I'm in need of your help my friend"
"Yeah cause anything what's going on is everything okay?"
Jim changed the gear "No ever since I've arrived in Cape Town someone is stalking me it's been three weeks now"
"Do you receive any threats?"
"That's the thing I get nothing I just feel like someone is watching me"
"So you want me to tight up the security at your house and at the company?"
"Yeah and send me two guys just for safety"
"Okay done I'll send them"
"Okay thanks man"
"Don't mention it take care"
"You too and thanks again" then Jim ended the call and stopped in front of this company and gave the keys valet attended to park the car in the garage Jim walked inside the company where everyone greeted him he went to the elevator and got inside then pressed the top floor as soon as the elevator opens Amber rushed to Jim looking all nervous
"Sir" Amber whispered
"Relax Amber this project is mine don't worry is everything ready?"
"Yes sir all the files are in your office"
"Please bring everything to the boardroom"
"Yes sir" Amber whispered and went to Jim's office while Jim went to the boardroom
Jim walked in the boardroom "Good day gentlemen"
"Mr Shawn how are you?"
"I'm good thank you" Jim sat down "Sorry I've made you wait long but I had other meeting across town"
"It's okay your assistant informed us we understand so shell we begin with the presentation are you ready?"
"Yes all is ready" Jim replied then Amber walked holding files and she putted on the table in front of Jim and she sat next to her boss.
"Thank you Amber" Jim whispered then he switched on the projector and did the presentation that turned out well and Jim got the project that made every worker happy as they also worked on the presentation by putting extra time to meet the deadline.
In Jim's office the phone rang
"Yes Amber"
"Sir there are two gentlemen here to see you"
"Yes send them in please and you and the rest of the workers in my department you may call it the day go home"
"Are you sure sir?"
"Yes I'm not gonna need anything as I'm leave soon too now show those gentlemen in"
"Okay sir you see tomorrow at the event"
"Okay" Jim whispered and then hung up the phone while the gentlemen walked in the office Jim stood up and walked his table "Gentlemen welcome"
"Thank you sir"
"So Brain has already briefed about the situation right?"
"Yes sir"
"Okay good so you can official start tomorrow as I have event tomorrow night"
"Okay sir"
Jim went to his chair and grabbed his blazer "Okay let's go" the securities walked ahead of him escorting him to his car in the garage.
One of the securities saw someone hiding behind Jim's car "Hey" the security called out but that person ran away causing one of the securities to chase him but then he disappeared before he could catch him the security returned to his partner and Jim.
"Did you find that person?" Jim asked
"No sir he knows this garage very well sir do you want us to escort you home?"
Jim unlocked his car "No it's okay see you guys tomorrow"
"Yes sir" then Jim got in the car and drove off on the way home he kept on thinking about his stalker wondering what is that person want after a while he arrived home he took his phone out of his pocket and made a call
"Mr Shawn"
"Ben any updates?"
"I'm sorry Mr Shawn but no"
Jim walked the window "Ben I don't need your sorry it's been years now how hard is it to find one person who has a name and surname"
"I understand sir but I'm trying my best to locate…"
"Ben I don't care what you do just try harder"
"Yes Mr Shawn" Ben said
Jim then ended in the frustration he putted his hand the window and leaned his head on his hand looking outside he breathed out heavily "Where are you Terrence" then he leaned his back on the window and slide down bending his knees and folding his hands on top of his knees looking all sad.

The next day Jim spend the whole day at home then in the evening he went to his event celebrating the partnership of the new project he got the previous day while everyone were stunning all dressed up then Jim walked in where everyone were clapping for him welcoming him.
"Despite being so young he has achieved so much already" One of the guests whispered
"Sir this way" Amber guided Jim to the stage Jim went on stage and was handed a microphone
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen first of all this is a great privilege for Shawn Enterprise to be able to partnership with such a big renowned company many of you praise me that I'm the young richest business man at such young age but many of you don't know where I come from to get here my point is if you work hard and be determent you can achieve anything no matter how long it takes you at first before I started my company I wrote where I want to see my company at in 3 years look where it is now because I was determent and worked hard to get here that is why I'm standing here in front of you all this evening and lastly I want to Mr Michaels that this partnership will take both our companies to the newest heights, Thank you"
Everyone clapped then Jim got down from the stage where few people shook his hands while the party went on everyone had their wines and had some conversation as Jim was busy with talking to some guests one of his security came to him
"Sir" He held his shoulder "There is a situation downstairs Mr Raw asked for you"
"Okay" Jim looked at the guests he was talking to "I'm sorry but can you excuse me I'll be right back"
"Alright" Jim walked away with his securities and went to the garage where Jim saw few securities along with his Brain
"Brain did he tell you anything?" Jim asked
"There is no need" Brain whispered
Jim stared at Brain with confusion "What do you mean?" Brian gestured him to go see the person they caught Jim went that person kneeing on the floor he got shocked when that person looked up at him "Terrence"
"Hey old friend" Terrence whispered
"Where have you been?" Jim turned around "Brian the cuffs" he looked at his friend again
"You got this right?" Brian asked and took the handcuffs off then Terrence stood up.
Jim looked at him "Yeah you guys can go back inside thanks" Brain knotted and took the rest of the securities with him.
"You look well Jim" Terrence whispered while Jim just stood there staring at him from top to bottom he got teary eyes and turned around then took his phone out and called his assistant.
"Hello sir" Amber whispered
"Amber I have some emergence please excuse me to the guest and thank them for me"
"Okay sir but is everything okay?"
Jim looked at Terrence "Yeah everything is fine don't worry"
"Okay sir good night"
"Good night Amber" Jim then ended the call and looked at Terrence "Come my car is this way will go to my house and talk there"
"Your house" Terrence grabbed his bag "I'll go to your house tomorrow early in morning" He whispered while walking away
"Terrence at least let me drop you to where you want go its late"
"No it's okay my place is not that far it was great seeing you again old friend" Terrence quickly turned around and walked away.
"I'm sorry Terrence I finally found you with much difficulty I'm never letting you out of my sight" Jim ran to his car and quickly got in the car and followed Terrence when he got at the garage entrance he looked around
"Excuse me sir" Jim called out to the security
"Yes sir"
"The guy holding the bag which side did he go?" Jim asked the security showed him "Thank you" the he drove off and turned right after a while Jim spotted Terrence and saw him getting in the dark small house he switched off the light and parked the car next to the house of the house he got out and looked around he walked to the door and knocked.
Terrence opened the door and got shocked "Jim" Jim looked at him and moved him aside ad stepped inside the house he looked around from up and down then he saw some photos of him and Terrence when they were in school.
"You live here?" Jim asked
"It's not much but yeah"
Jim turned around and walked to the door "Get your things I'll wait for you in the car" then he walked out and went to the his car after couple of minutes Terrence walked out holding a bag pack and locked the door he walked couple of feet and looked at the house again Jim mean while he unlocked the car and started the car then Terrence went to the car and opened the door and got in the car and closed the door Jim locked the car and drove off.
After a long quite journey in the car Jim arrived at his house and opened the garage door and drove in he parked his car and closed the garage and walked out Terrence looked at him and got out of the car with his bag pack Jim pulled the glass doors "This way" he walked in the glass passage leading to the house Terrence looked around Jim took Terrence to the spare room he opened the door "This is your room if want to shower the bathroom is over there, are you hungry?'
"No I'm good thank you"
"Get some rest will talk in the morning good night" Jim said and walked out of the room and closed the door and went upstairs.
"I'm sorry Jim but I can't stay here I can clearly see that my presence hurt you even if you don't say anything" Terrence opened the door and tried to sneak out so Jim don't hear him as he passes the stairs Jim watched him as he was sitting on the stairs
"You still suck" Jim whispered making Terrence stop "At sneaking out" Terrence turned around and looked at Jim "Where are you going?" Jim stood up and walked to Terrence.
"I know you brought me here because you feel sorry for me Jim I don't need your petty okay"
"Petty" Jim smirked while shaking his head
"I know you hate me for hurting you 6 years ago this is why you can't even look me in the eyes just say it already get it out of your chest, say it Jim" Terrence whispered and got close to Jim "Say it" he made Jim looked at him "Say it" yelling.
"I don't hate you, I love you" Jim yelled back at Terrence and kissed him making time stand still for Terrence Jim pulled back "I can never hate you Terrence" Terrence looked at Jim and quickly kissed him they deepen the kiss and looked at each other breathing heavily "Don't leave please not again"
Terrence shook his head "I can't" he whispered and walked away "I don't want to be burden to you"
Jim looked at Terrence feeling angry "First was petty now burden Terrence tell me something when you and your parents took me in is this how you felt towards me?'
Terrence turned around "No never"
"Then why do you think this things can't I take care of you without you thinking this things about me even in the past you misunderstood me like you doing now is the person who spend 2 years searching for you would he feel petty on you tell me what do I have to say or do to show you that I love you"
Terrence sat down on the couch and looked down "I didn't misunderstand you in fact I knew you loved me way before you confessed about your feelings towards" Jim looked at Terrence with confusion "The truth behind my rejection is that I didn't want people to say bad things about you that you were with me because of the money" Terrence looked up at Jim "And even now it's still the same issue".
Jim went to Terrence and kneeled in front of him "I understand you were thinking for my betterment but you didn't have to cause I didn't care what people thought about me cause if i had did, I would have ran away from your house the first week I moved in but I didn't and I still don't" Jim held Terrence hands and looked up at him "Terrence you gonna live your life according to what people think about you, you will not get anything or go anywhere in life" Jim stood up and turned to walk away but Terrence stood up and hugged Jim from behind.
"I'm sorry for what I did in the past and for the things I just said to you" Terrence whispered
Jim looked at the side "And?"
"I won't care about what people will think about me regarding my happiness"
"And?"
Terrence leaned his head on Jim's back "I promise from now on I'll put myself and my happiness first"
Jim smiled and turned around he looked at Terrence "Good"
Terrence smiled "When did you become this serious guy?"
"The day i started living my life according to my own terms" Jim said and sat down pulling Terrence hand to make him sit next to him "So tell me you still like art?"
"Hmm… but it's been a long time not creating anything after my parents died I lost interest in everything my spark was gone I mean first was you then my parents after that I just left everything behind"
"I'm sorry about your parents as soon as I heard I rushed to Jo'burg but when I got there you were already gone I searched for you ever since anyway let's not talk about the painful past aunt and uncle will forever be missed now we can think about the future"
Terrence stared at Jim suspiciously "That tone tells me you are up to something"
Jim smiled at him "Come" Jim stood up pulled Terrence he took him another spare room he slide opened the door "This room will be your studio"
Terrence looked at Jim "Really so you want me to move in with you?"
Jim got close to Terrence and kissed him "I'm never letting you go" Terrence shyly smiled and looked around the room "A minute ago I thought I would hire interior but now I want to test if your creativity still works so you will design this room".
Terrence looked at Jim raising his eyebrows "Are you challenging me?"
Jim walked to the door and looked at Terrence "No I dare you" Then walked out leaving Terrence shocked
"I will prove you wrong" Terrence shouted and followed Jim outside the two spend the whole of the night catching about all the time they lost and made promises to always be with each other no matter what. Then few months down the line the two became the power leading them to a romantic proposal and a beautiful wedding.
2 years later
At Terrence art studio opening
"Ladies and Gentlemen please give a warm welcome to the most talented artist Terrence Shawn" guest and journalist clapped and stood up for Terrence to show up.
Jim fixed Terrence shirt "There now you are ready go"
"Aren't you coming?"
"No this is your moment, your time and your day you go ahead"
Terrence made a sad face "But"
Jim pushed him a little "Go now"
Terrence looked back at his husband "I love you"
"I love you too" Jim whispered and gestured his husband to go ahead.
Terrence showed up and everyone clapped for him he walked to the front and took the microphone on the table "Thank you" Jim came and sat down on the front raw and everyone sat down.
Speech
"Thank you so much for joining me on this special day of mine having my own art studio had always been my passion since I was still a little boy then few years ago grief hit me hard where I lost my spark to make art that is why you will see that there are three different sections in this studio that represent my life I'm not gonna spoil everything you'll have to wait and see it yourselves and now last I want to thank Jim Shawn my husband for bringing the art back to me again and the support he always showed and still showing and now here is to the future of art. Thank you" Everyone stood up and clapped for Terrence then journalist raised their hands to ask questions "Ah you may ask questions now"
One journalist raised a hand "Ah Mr Shawn?"
"Ah yes" Terrence had gestured to one lady journalist to ask a question
"Ah Mr Shawn today is a big day for you right?"
"Yes very"
"Then why is your husband not beside you?"
Terrence looked at His husband and looked at the journalist "That's very good question but it seems like he doesn't have the guts to face you all today"
"Are you challenging me" Jim asked staring at Terrence
Terrence stared back at him "No I dare you"
Jim raised his eyebrows "Really well now I've got to come there hey" Terrence smirked at him then Jim stood up and went to his husband "You stole my line how are you going to repay me?"
Terrence smiled at him "With this" he kissed his husband where everyone laughed and clapped for them the two looked at the guest smiling and bent their heads to each other.
