Chương 50: Deal - Day Seven
Once again waking up within the little room Tian Long once again got up and then went to the living area of the cabin which consisted of a stone fireplace and some comfy couches and seats that they could sit on.
Arriving in the living area Tian Long saw Da Jiang sitting having some breakfast at the dining area. Not seeing Da Lu he assumed that she was still asleep as most dragons tend to hibernate when pregnant as dragons have pregnancies spanning hundreds of years. Waiting for Da Lu to come out wasn't that bad as he had Da Jiang to talk to and he even pulled out a game of checkers to play, at first Tian Long had no idea how to play as he had never heard of the game before however thanks to Da Jiang he learned how to play properly. By the time Da Lu had come out they had already played tens of games of which Tian Long had lost them all as although he had learned how to play properly however that didn't mean he could beat someone who had been playing the game way longer than him.
Greeting them as she came in she started making herself breakfast as she didn't want to bother them while they were playing their game. At first Da Jiang wanted to make her breakfast and have her sit down hoxever she stared him down and smiled with a smile that wasn't a smile and told him that she wasn't so incompetent that she couldn't make herself breakfast. Sweating bullets at that point he had no way but to concede unless he wished to face an angry pregnant woman who also happened to be a dragon.
While she busied herself with making the breakfast Da Jiang had muttered under his breath "Goddamn hormones". To which she replied, "What was that dear?", without turning her head back however even without turning back Da Jiang still shivered at the tone she used and quickly replied that it was nothing important.
Joining them in the living area she quickly finished her breakfast and watched as Tian Long played with Da Jiang. Getting beaten once again Tian Long decides that it was time to stop and then begun to get down to business.
"I want to know if you can get me the soul cleansing lotus" Direct with his query Tian Long didn't beat around the bush.
"Of cour...." Da Lu was about to accept however she was interupted by Da Jiang.
"Sure but everything has a price" Da Jiang replied even more direct as he knew that if they could get what they wanted from Tian Long it would be worth the risk to go get the lotus.
Knowing what they meant by price he sighed and then said to them, "You do know what that means right?". Shaking their heads as they didn't know what the effects of what they wanted would be.
"What you want won't only make your child stronger but it will also bind your child's life to mine. This means that if I die they die however if they die I will not. That is not all either, by giving them 'that' they are also becoming my mate" Tian Long explained the intricacies of the price they wanted for the lotus.
Looking at each other as they didn't expect this they then decided that it would be worth it as he has the azure dragon's legacy and if he grew he could grow to become on par with the divine beasts. Turning back to Tian Long they told him that they were sure of their decision.
Sighing to himself he hits himself in the chest and spits out his heart's blood essence and then infused it within the fetus currently growing within Da Lu. Pale and exhausted from spitting out some of his heart's blood essence Tian Long caught Da Lu as she fainted from the metamorphises that the fetus was currently undergoing.
Worried about his wife and child Da Jiang rushed to their side and nearly began questioning Tian Long about what he had done however before he had the chance Tian Long explained that she had been put into a forceful slumber because of the changes that were happening thanks to his blood. After calming down Da Jiang, Tian Long then reminds him of their deal and says that he will take care of Da Lu while he is away to get the lotus.
Nodding his head Da Jiang then heads out of the cabin and then disappears in a rush of speed which would shock anyone if they saw it as it was a speed vastly superior to what any Rank 4 or Rank 5 could achieve. Picking Da Lu up Tian Long begins to think about what Sarah will think about him becoming a mate with an unborn child. Along that line of thought Tian Long then starts to feel a chill down his spine and feels that his future days are going to be a lot harder thanks to this.
Reaching Da Lu and Da Jiang's room Tian Long sets Da Lu down on the bed and then proceeds to leave and then go back to the kitchen and then made himself some tea and relaxed as he knew that the lotus will be here and then he can leave and bring it to Sarah and save her. Through his fixation of saving Sarah he forgets that the lotus will only give her a greater chance of surviving, not that she will definintely survive.
This was all he would do for the next two days: Sit and relax whilst occasionally checking up on Da Lu and monitoring the changes to the fetus just in case something goes wrong.
