Chương 23: Verdant Blades vs Infernal Talons
Arena was a semispherical building made of special crystal. It can stimulate virtual environment for fighters.
There were around three hundred students in the spectator stands. They were new students recruited this year.
There were also their teacher standing in front of their class.
In the arena there were two teams standing in front of each other.
A voice came from sound system of the arena.
"Hello students. I am your batch supervisor as well as celestial class's class teacher, Rong Mei"
Yes Rong Mei wasn't just in charge of celestial class but also supervisor of this batch of students.
"Today you must have learned about Beastmasters and how they fight. So to give you a demonstration we have invites year two students to have an exhibition fight."

The teams first introduced themselves and their relics so that new students can have better understanding of fight.

After they introduced themselves referee shouted.
"Begin"
As the fight started a voice also came from sound system but this time it was not Teacher Rong but someone else, doing a commentary on the fight. So that students can better understand the fight.
As referee shouted Cerulean blue (level 3) summoning formation appeared on both sides and from which pets emerged.
As the battle commenced, Lin Xiu played a swift melody on her flute. Her Wind Serpent surged forward, shimmering with ethereal grace as it activated Airlock Prison, trapping Huo Jian's Ironhide Rhino within a vacuum bubble. The mighty rhino bellowed, its strength visibly waning as its energy drained.
Ren Qiu countered by commanding his Hypno Viper, which slithered through the chaos toward Tian Bo's Granite Tortoise. Its glowing eyes released a sinister gleam as it used Hypnotic Gaze, causing the tortoise to falter, momentarily paralyzed under the viper's spell.
On the flanks, Mei Fang and Kuang Wei unleashed their attackers. The Crimson Raptor streaked forward with fiery talons, clashing with Zhen Yu's Ice Tiger Fish. Fire and ice collided in bursts of steam as the raptor's claws tore through frost-coated scales. Simultaneously, Kuang Wei's Thunder Spear Spirit hurtled toward Liu Fen's Bloodthirsty Thorn Flower, its electrified blade slicing through writhing vines, forcing the thorn flower to recoil.
At the center of the fray, Tian Bo rallied, his Granite Tortoise shaking off the viper's hypnotic effect. The massive creature slammed into Huo Jian's Obsidian Mecha, its stone shell grinding against the mecha's metal plating. Sparks flew as the two defenders collided, neither willing to yield.
Above the battlefield, Yue Lan's Light Fairy flitted gracefully, scattering golden light that mended minor injuries across her team. On the opposing side, Xiao Yun's Celestial Butterfly shimmered with radiant dust, creating a protective barrier that softened the Verdant Blades' strikes.
Sensing an opportunity, Lin Xiu commanded her Chime Willow to release a Discordant Pulse. A burst of chaotic chimes reverberated across the arena, stunning several of the Infernal Talons' pets. The Thunder Falcon faltered mid-flight, crashing into the ground, while the Blood Rose quivered, its vines retracting in confusion.
"Now!" Lin Xiu shouted.
Mei Fang's Flame Panther pounced, flames trailing its paws as it landed atop the weakened Blood Rose, scorching the plant into retreat. Nearby, Kuang Wei's Thunder Wolf lunged at the staggered Thunder Falcon, electricity crackling as it delivered a stunning bite.
But the Infernal Talons were not out of the fight. Ren Qiu commanded his Corpse Vine, which surged forward with its Poison Lash ability. The vine struck at Yue Lan's Light Fairy, its toxic barbs attempting to disrupt the Verdant Blades' healer.
With their healer in danger, Kuang Wei redirected his Thunder Spear Spirit, sending it slicing through the Corpse Vine's tendrils. The poisoned plant writhed in pain, retreating into the shadows.
Meanwhile, Zhen Yu's Ice Tiger Fish unleashed Frost Surge, creating an icy wave that pushed back the Crimson Raptor and slowed Mei Fang's Flame Panther, buying the Infernal Talons some breathing room. Liu Fen's Bloodthirsty Thorn Flower retaliated with Piercing Thorns, sharp projectiles aimed at the Granite Tortoise. The tortoise endured, its tough shell absorbing most of the damage.
Above the fray, Xiao Yun's Moon Blossom Treant unleashed Rejuvenating Bloom, scattering healing energy across the Infernal Talons. The team rallied, their pets regaining some vigor.
But Lin Xiu was prepared. She played a haunting note on her flute, and her Wind Serpent conjured Gale Bindings, tendrils of wind that coiled around Zhen Yu's Ice Tiger Fish and Thunder Falcon, pinning them in place.
With their attackers immobilized, the Verdant Blades seized the advantage. Mei Fang's Crimson Raptor launched a fiery dive at Liu Fen's Bloodthirsty Thorn Flower, reducing it to smoldering embers. At the same time, Kuang Wei's Thunder Wolf and Thunder Spear Spirit teamed up, delivering a decisive strike to the Obsidian Mecha, its metallic frame collapsing under the assault.
The remaining Infernal Talons regrouped near their leader, but Lin Xiu's Chime Willow unleashed Song of Silence, blanketing the battlefield in an oppressive quiet. Stripped of their ability to communicate or cast spells, the Infernal Talons faltered.
Tian Bo's Granite Tortoise delivered a final, crushing blow to the trapped Ironhide Rhino, and with that, the referee's voice boomed once more:
"The Verdant Blades are victorious!"
The crowd erupted in cheers as the runes along the arena's walls dimmed. The Verdant Blades stood tall, their pets gathering at their sides, while the defeated Infernal Talons withdrew in silence.
Amidst the cheering coud were Yang Feng and his team taking part in cheers.
They were excited as this was the first time they saw such an interesting fight.
After 15 minutes Teacher Rong's Voice Came from the sound system
"As you have seen the fight between two ideally combined teams. From tomorrow on your class days, there will be a physical combat class in the evening."
After speaking for a while sound system became silent.
Students began to talk among themselves about this fight.
Celestial class was also discussing the exciting fight. At this moment Teacher Rong came and told them to disperse and be on time tomorrow.
From 8 am to 2 pm would be theory classes while 4 to 7 will be combat classes.
Other teachers also told their students same thing and students dispersed afterwards.
