Chương 53: Chapter 53 Blood and Bones.
The bitch was knocked out cold. Blood started to come out of her pretty little nose. She seemed so peaceful and pretty just laying there all knocked out and bloody, but something was wrong here.
Wait what the hell was she even doing? Had she seriously just kicked a young, innocent little girl in the face? Sure the girl had been the one to challenge her, plus she even called her a coward and even a slut, but still wasn't this just too much? Well at least she hadn't had her high heels on or else that kick might have been a lot worse.
But still, this was not an MMA match against some professional fighter, no this was but a fight against a young and naive girl. Sure this girl was technically older than her and bigger, but still, this was just wrong. After all she was the reincarnated one here and as such the adult in this situation, she should have known better.
Realising this, regret quickly started filling Lilis heart. She had been way too caught up in the heat of the moment to have realised the error of her ways in time. Once again she had let her emotions have the better of herself.
Even the crowd didn't seem to be agreeing with her victory here. All around the people just stood in silence, with a mix of fear and awe, but no cheers. It was as if they were waiting for something more to happen, like the match just hadn't ended. For some reason they all seemed afraid of doing anything to help the unconscious girl or to say anything for that matter.
To Lili this was different from what she had expected, but it for sure wasn't totally new. In her experiences as a police officer, It was actually quite typical for bystanders to be totally useless in most situations.
And so it fell to her to do something. Like a trained professional, Lili sprang into action herself and quickly ran to the girls side. Getting down on her knees she uncaring of the people around began her own magical examination of the girl.
Right at that moment Lili didn't care if she had to use her healing magic and reveal her secret to all these people. She only cared for the bleeding girl and her wellbeing.
Grabbing the girls hand Lili closed her eyes and focused. Using her magical vision she began her examination, but as she did this a sight unlike any she had so far seen showed itself to her.
The girls whole body was a fiery red before her magical eyes. At a glance it seemed like a fire had consumed the girl, but no, this was no regular fire that burned. This was a manifestation of the girls emotions, and these emotions as unconscious as the girl was weren't too pleased to see her. It felt almost as if the girl purely and utterly despised her for some reason.
Wherever she tried to look for something to heal the fire always followed, blocking any and all access to the girls body. Lili couldn't know it for sure, but she could feel that this girl simply didn't wish to be helped by her and so she couldn't do anything.
Despite this Lili couldn't help but worry for the girls safety and so she tried to pour a bit of her healing light into the girl. And just as she had suspected it didn't work. She watched the light from her hands move forth and immediately clash with the fire, and as if hitting an immovable wall, the light stopped, spread out and disintegrated into small particles that fell to the ground and started to heal the grassy ground instead of the girl.
Seeing this Lili felt stunned. She couldn't quite believe it, was her magic truly based on good will and a sense of belief or something? Thus far she had discovered that the stones would not work without belief, but now it appeared that direct healing wouldn't work either, if the person was hostile towards her.
Opening her eyes Lili now didn't know what to do anymore, what if the girl suffered brain damage or something? What was she going to do then, if she couldn't heal her with her magic?
So far only a few seconds had passed, but the girl still wasn't awake. In worry Lili turned the girls palm around to face upwards, then she placed two fingers under the thumb, where the wrist meets the hand and then she started checking for a pulse.
For a moment relief filled Lili's heart. She could hear a regular rhythm of a healthy beating heart, but then it suddenly increased. Badam badam badam, the heart started to beat like crazy.
In worry Lili looked to the unconscious girl and saw her still asleep. And then all of a sudden a feeling of danger came just like before. Lili felt something about to hit her face, but what? She couldn't see anything coming towards her.
Then Lili noticed the girls eyes suddenly shoot open and turn to look at her with fury.
Seeing this Lili felt relieved as she said.
"Oh thank god you're ok."
No similar words came back towards Lili. She felt the girls right hand tense up under her own two dainty little hands and as she looked down she was met with a hard fist straight into her face.
Something cracked in her nose, her vision went dark as she fell on her back to the ground in a daze.
Holy shit, that girls gotta mean punch, Lili thought as she lay on the ground holding her broken nose. She could taste blood in her mouth and she could feel it start to come out her nose, but she wasn't mad.
Sure the punch hurt like hell, but she had already gotten many such hits in her past life, plus she had already gotten her face disfigured in this life so this was nothing to her. With time she could surely heal such things. The only real problem was what she was going to do about this girl now.
She had imagined the fight to be over by now, but by the looks of the girl who was now mounting her body, and preparing to start punching her it seemed that this was far from over. Oh wait, what?
Lilis vision was still blurry but her senses weren't and she realised that she was in a world of hurt if she didn't do something and fast.
Out of instinct, Lili wrapped her legs around the girls toned waist and covered her own face with both her arms.
Soon fists, strong like that of a grown mans started raining down on her arms. Each strike was hard enough to for sure leave a painful bruise behind. Lilis arms quickly began to become numb, but she didn't fight back, instead she yelled to the girl and said.
"Wait wait wait, time out. Can't we just talk about this?"
Amazingly the fists stopped coming. Slowly opening up her defence a little to see the girl, Lili saw her with an angry expression as she said.
"No, the time for talk is over. Either you fight and win, or then you lose your job and leave this castle for good. I, Princess Eadlin Pendragon here by command you, Lili the bed maid to fight me. I want you to show me that you are worthy of being my brothers bed maid. If you refuse then I will have mother kick you back into the streets from when's you came. So fight me Lili, until one of us gives up, or are you too scared to fight?"
All of a sudden it seemed as if this girl was not only filled with hatred and anger towards her, but a strong bloodlust. This girl seemed crazy, and not just that but didn't she just say that she was a freaking princess.
Wait had she seriously just kicked a freaking princess in the face and broken sed princesses nose also?
Thinking of this Lili felt horrified. Losing her job over this was one thing, but she would probably be lucky to even walk out of here alive. The most likely outcome was being executed for what she had just done, even if it was an agreed upon match.
Looking at the situation. Lili could see no way out. All around them were strong looking men like Sir Chad Armstrong who was a knight, and if he was a knight then weren't all the others also. Plus all around the castle and it's walls were heavily armed guards. Truly it seemed that there was no way out for her even if she managed to run away from this crazy princess.
And so Lili was really only left with one choice if she wanted to survive and possibly keep her job, and that was to fight this Princess and win. Luckily the Princess did appear to be one of those violent, crazy yet fair type of people, so maybe there was hope for her, as long as she just won.
With this in mind and possibly all the slave girls lives also on the line, Lili felt a fire of determination rise within her heart. Suddenly this beautiful girl, didn't seem as such in her eyes, all she now saw was an enemy that needed to be taken down.
Through gritted teeth and fury within her voice Lili then said.
"Fine, I accept your challenge. Just know that you asked for this, ok. So don't blame me if something bad happens."
Blood trickled down the princesses beautiful face as she flashed a wicked grin towards Lili. And without a word she lifted her right fist into the air ready to strike down at Lili again.
Seeing this Lili pulled her right leg back, kicked at the girls side and simultaneously lunged forward with her left hand aiming to grab at the girls short hair.
Feeling the kick the princess faltered for a second as Lili caught a hold of her hair and pulled down wards as she pushed with her right leg against the princess.
The Princess tensed up her muscles to resist this, but then Lili launched her right palm towards the princesses face and slapped her hard.
The princess was visibly shaken by this, but not hurt as Lili still lacked any real strength to do any real damage. Nonetheless the princess was now distracted for a second, creating a momentary opportunity for Lili.
With all her might Lili quickly pulled on the princesses hair, pushed with her right leg and used her right hand to push at the princesses face. And lastly Lili kicked at the princesses right leg with her left leg and with that the princess finally lost her balance and fell to the ground next to Lili.
Seeing a great opportunity here, Lili didn't waste a moment and quickly rolled on top the princess and started slapping away at her.
While slapping was not super effective, Lili still hoped that it would be enough to make the princess give up. After all the princess was still but a girl and Lili didn't really feel like beating up a girl like that.
The princess was immediately taken off guard by the slaps. She managed to put her arms in front of her face to protect herself from any straight hits, but it was no use. Lilis slaps came from the sides and struck hard at the princesses cheeks.
Left, right, left right, slap slap, slap, slap slap, came the slaps like a never ending barrage of stinging slaps.
The princess tried to evade and block, but it was no use, Lilis slaps were too light and fast, plus Lili was no beginner, she could predict this girls movements with relative ease.
A evil grin quickly came upon Lilis pretty little face as she saw the princesses cheeks start reddening from all the slaps. Or were they just reddening out of rage, Lili wasn't quite sure, but she could definitely feel something dark growing within the girl.
Then the sense of danger came again. A left fist much faster than ever before came flying straight towards her already bleeding nose.
Sensing it Lili merely grinned as she easily moved her head to the right away from the fists path.
With a swush it flew past Lilis face and pulled back. Lili countered with a hard right hand slap, causing the princesses left cheek to jiggle violently.
Now the princess seemed truly and utterly pissed as she sent her right fist coming straight towards Lilis face. And once more it missed, but immediately after a new sense of danger came, but too late.
The princesses right hands fingers painfully grabbed a hold of the back of Lilis head by grabbing onto her silky smooth hair.
Lili got a bad feeling about this, her head was essentially stuck in place now by the powerful grip and a new threat was coming.
A left fist was about to be sent straight towards her face and In a split second Lili came up with a desperate plan. With both hands Lili grabbed a hold of the princesses decent breasts, found her pointy nipples and pinched on them hard.
The princess let out a loud scream that sounded much like a moan.
"Ahh!"
Despite this her left fist still came flying in towards Lili, but with this distraction Lili managed to move her head to the left out of the fists path, as the princess then yelled at her.
"You fucking slut! AHH, Don't touch my nipples!"
The princess took a hold of the back of Lilis head now with both hands as Lili twisted and pulled on the nipples. Quickly the princess had turned fully red like a tomato, as she to Lilis surprise pulled hard on her head as she pushed her own head forward towards Lili. It was almost like she intended to head but her. Oh no wait, she was seriously going to head but her.
Lili could sense this coming, but she found it hard to believe. This princess was seriously no ordinary girl.
Thinking quickly Lili managed to put her forehead forward and so the two smashed their foreheads together hard.
Immediately a bone chilling bang could be heard, Lili and the princess both pulled back in pain. Stars flew in Lilis eyes and a great ringing was heard within her ears. Needless to say the impact was extremely painful and made Lili want to just quit, but by the looks of it the princess wasn't fairing much better and despite this she seemed ready for more.
What a tough bitch, Lili thought as she grabbed a hold of her short hair. Both girls grinned, which made Lili feel fired up and so they smashed their foreheads together again.
Once more with a painful bang they both separated. Now Lili was really feeling the pain, her forehead was open, blood flowed out of the wound and she could taste the metallic taste of blood within her mouth.
Then before she knew it, her head was pulled again and the princess smashed her forehead straight under Lilis nose. Something went crack, she could feel blood and a lot of open space within her mouth.
Her vision was gone, her hearing was but a constant ringing and her mind a mess. Lili felt like passing out, but her senses told her to move and with but a thought the core of light within her flared into life. Her vision and mind cleared slightly.
Before her she saw a few of her teeth implanted into the princesses bloody forehead. Blood flowed out of the girls nose and mouth, but despite this she grinned madly as she prepared herself for another head but.
Seeing this Lili knew that all bets were off, this girl was crazy and the only way to win against crazy was to be a bit crazy yourself and do whatever you needed to do.
With this in mind Lili spat blood into the girls eyes, blinding her partially.
Then Lili bowled her right hand into a fist, and aimed it straight for the girls right eye. Lili put all her might into this one attack, and then just as she was about to hit the girl, the girl moved to head but Lili again.
Lili noticing this too late, accidentally had her fist slam hard against the girls lower forehead, immediately twisting and breaking her fingers on impact. The princess pulled back from the hard hit, but immense pain struck Lili as she gritted her teeth and yelled.
"Ahhhhh, my hand!"
With half closed, blood covered eyes the princess merely grinned at Lili and said.
"Hehehe, give it up Lili. Get on your knees and beg for mercy, or else I'm going to really hurt you."
The princess sounded crazy as she said this, but Lili wasn't afraid of no crazy girl. She merely spat back mocking words through her bloody and broken mouth as she said.
"Hurt me as much as you can, pain only makes me stronger, and a bloody struggle only makes a victory all the more worthy of remembering."
The princess hearing this gritted her teeth, pulled painfully on Lilis ponytails and with ease turned them both around once more, as she said.
"Crazy slut!"
Lili was completely helpless to resist this girls superior strength as she was tossed on her back, by her hair as the princess got on top of her again.
With the princesses hand upon her ponytails, Lili acted quickly to defend herself. Lili swiftly placed her left hand against the princesses right ear, and then she slammed her right palm as hard as she could against the princesses left ear.
A loud bam was heard and the effect of it was instant. The princess seemed stunned, her grip loosened on Lili, but then as fast as the stunned look came, it also ended.
The Princess suddenly seemed furious and Lili sensed great danger. The grip on her hair tightened again, the princess was about to smash her head against hers once more.
Thinking quickly Lili grabbed a hold of the princesses head and pulled her into a hug before she could react properly. Lili also simultaneously wrapped her legs tightly against the princesses waist, stopping her from being able to do any significant harm against her.
The princess realising this started furiously pulling on Lilis hair to create some space.
This caused great pain to Lili and she could feel some of her hair start to come loose. In return Lili pulled on the princesses shorter hair as hard as she could with her one good hand, and the other hand that had the broken fingers.
Like beasts the both of them growled and hissed at each other as blood flew from their mouth and flowed out of their wounds. Both their faces, hair, clothes and pretty much everything was stained with blood as was the ground.
Lili yelled to the princess to give up as the princess did the same. Quickly the whole fight turned into a pulling contest with no clear winner in sight, a true stalemate as some would say.
Realising this and losing a lot of blood, the both of them desperately looked for a solution for victory, and so they both started banging their heads together.
Lili didn't know what all their actions might have looked like to an outside viewer, but soon loud yells of an old feminine voice could be heard yelling.
"What are you doing you fools, stop them before they kill one another! And get the doctor here right now!"
After this was said, heavy footsteps were heard coming towards their bloody struggle. Then many strong hands of men came, and started pulling furiously at the two girls.
Quickly their bodies were pulled apart from one another, but the grips on the hair still remained. Lili yelled through her few remaining gritted teeth for the princess to admit defeat, as the princess did the same.
Little by little their hair started to come loose, until the sight of a straight backed Grandma Linn came in between them and angrily yelled to them.
"Stop it you violent fools, or I'll have you both tossed to the streets!"
Lili and the princess both looked at each other, a light of understanding flashed in their eyes as they then simultaneously let go of each others hair. Although there still was a good chunk of now loose hair stuck to both of their hands.
Looking at the hair, Lili then noticed a worried Sir Jack Bell pull her into his arms. While some old man pulled the princess into his arms as Grandma Linn yelled out orders with a surprisingly clear voice.
"Sir Jack, take bed maid Lili immediately to her room and don't let her leave no matter what. The doctor will be there soon as will I with her punishment. And the same goes for the princess and as for all you fools here, you are not to speak a word of this to anyone, on the pain of death."
Lili hearing the angry voice of Grandma Linn knew that she had messed up. She couldn't help but worry about what was to come, but more than anything she felt absolutely terrible.
Already she could feel the adrenaline starting to leave her body, making her feel extremely weak and the extreme pain of her injuries as well. She had lost a lot of blood and was in great need of healing, but she didn't dare to heal herself now in fear of being discovered to be a witch or something.
And so Lilis vision faded into darkness as she passed out on Jack's shoulder as he carried her off with haste towards her room.
