Isabelle was so happy.
Her little kitten was back, and she could feel her strength coming back. Slowly, but surely.
She'd felt awful. But her energy was coming back.
It was slow. Frustrating. But it was returning.
And, now that she was feeling a little better, it seemed like the infirmary was much more open to having more people visit her. Not just her husbands.
Vaughn had invited himself that first day, but soon enough she'd managed to finally get a hold of Archibald and give him frustrated pouts - demands, it seemed, did not work on the man - until he caved and let Vaughn, Octavian, and even Tieya visit her.
At least during the daytime, anyway.
Apparently her 'fragility' made it too much of a risk for Octavian or Vaughn to spend the night with her in the infirmary.
Is it really Isabelle if she doesn't bounce back from a crisis by immediately becoming a deviant?
(I am drowning in how many chapters I've had to write for Cannon-Fodder Bride in short succession. I'm so glad I waited until after the double updates to go premium with that one.)
