As he resumed his seat, he watched as Allie placed the steaming pot on the tray and gave both men a sweet smile. "By the way, Wilfred, how did you find me? I've always prided myself on my vanishing skills."
"It wasn't easy my dear." The man sat back in the chair, seemingly relaxed, yet he continued to hold the revolver in a tight grip. "I started my journey solo until I realized how cleverly you covered your tracks. So, I relied on your young gentleman here to do the job for me." He continued with disarming candor as his gaze strayed to Ross. "I accidentally came across you both in Athens, and out of curiosity, I followed you to Manila. From there, you escaped into the night before I had a chance to reconnoiter, so I simply followed Mr. Brenner until he found you here."
Nonplussed, Ross ventured, "I suppose I didn't make my movements all that hard to follow, considering the fact I didn't know I was being followed."
