Chapter 140
Heavenly Opposers
A stunning silence had descended into the room since the red light had entered inside Xiao, the shaking stopped, the red sinister eyes above disappeared, everything went back to its natural calm state,
"Xiao, just what happened?"
Li Lun asked with a curious look on her face to which Xiao shrugged his shoulder,
"No idea, I was just going with the flow"
While Xiao trusted Li Lun, he still doesn't have any trust for Teresa, plus he couldn't be sure that anybody else was watching them now, the fact that he possesses All-Seer is something he would tell when he's only 100% sure that there's no way for it to leak.
Even with Yurou he only told about it to her through their special connection where no one will be able to eavesdrop or listen to, plus Xiao knows 100% that no matter what Yurou will stand with him, even if it meant going against the very phoenix's that raised her, she will definitely take his side, he could still feel her deep obsessive love combined from the past to the present,
"What should we do now?"
Li Lun asked to which Xiao shook his shoulder as he spoke,
"Don't know, I've looked at the room, the material around is not something we can break, all we can do is wait, Teresa wouldn't have sent us here without a reason"
It was only after hearing Xiao's words did Li Lun's eyes lit up as she began to speak,
"Oh! sorry! I guess you don't know about the Tower Of Inheritors"
"The Tower Of Inheritors?"
Xiao asked back in doubt, though he did have quite a strong understanding of what it is, hearing his words Li Lun started to explain about it as Xiao nodded his head in understanding, overall, the information that she gave him was the same as he knew.
The Tower Of Inheritors is a special place where a dimensional tower suspended within a realm that no one knows exists, it is only applicable to the inheritors of constellations, people who grew from nothing to etch their names into history, the tower is where these inheritors have to climb in order to get their complete inheritance.
But this place was another catch, it is that these inheritors would be able to compete against each other to see who was superior, the last remaining wisps of the constellations will remain here as they boast amongst themselves who got the better inheritor, overall it's a place to get strong for the weak while for the strong its a place to boast.
The tower is the main reason that many of the inheritors of the constellations are feared,
"So you just have to climb here?"
Xiao asked to which Li Lun nodded,
"Then what the hell are we doing here?"
Xiao asked, completely acting clueless, to his question Li Lun shrugged her shoulder with a confused look,
"I don't know, in the information I received I never got anything about this situation"
And just as she spoke a voice that Xiao was getting familiar with was heard in his head.
[It's done]
'What's done?'
And just as Xiao spoke another cool female voice was heard in his head.
[Mia greets master]
'Mia? master? what's going on?'
[Aren't you happy? you know have a device with a beautiful woman's voice accompanying you]
All-Seer replied with a sneer, giving a headache to Xiao as he spoke back,
'Clarify the situation to me'
[In a nutshell, we have succeeded, the device is now under my or to be more exact under your control]
Hearing this Xiao's eyes lit up, this was the best information that he could get,
'So, this Mia, how loyal is she?'
Xiao asked with narrowed eyes.
[You don't have to worry about that, this ego is the controller of this tower and the good thing is that she had no master, thus now officially making you the master of this tower]
'Seriously?'
Xiao asked with widening eyes, not believing what he was hearing, he had to take a deep breath to calm down his raging heart,
'But why is her voice different?'
Xiao asked, before when it was scanning him the voice was more like buzzy and confusing.
[Well I just made it like that or do you like a man's voice? don't worry I will respect your decision]
'Sigh...then can you do it too?'
Xiao asked as he avoided the snarking remark that All-Seer was giving him. His question regarding more validity as even till now All-Seer is talking to him in a gender-neutral voice.
[Not interested]
A quick denial! but Xiao didn't interject as he focused on the other issue at hand,
'So how does this Mia work? will she be in my head like you? or is there any other information that I am missing?'
[Ask all that to her, I am really tired and will be taking a small sleep, you won't be able to talk to me but all my other functions will still work]
'I see, then take good rest'
[Okay]
'Wait'
[What?]
An annoyed response but Xiao didn't mind it as he replied,
'Thank you'

As the final words were hinted All-Seer became silent, Xiao knew when to be thankful and when not to be, while All-Seer seems to have its own objective and Xiao will definitely rip out that objective but even till then, they are together for now.
'So Mia, transport us to the main lobby entrance, while also impart to me all you can do'

Upon hearing so Xiao turned towards Li Lun who was looking at him, even though he was silent and in a daze, she didn't wake him out of it as she just kept looking at him,
"What?"
Xiao asked to which Li Lun blinked her eyes as she responded with a cheeky remark,
"Nothing, I just like looking at you"
Hearing so Xiao turned silent as both their bodies soon started to turn into particles, Xiao losing a sense of his body for a moment as his eyes were blinded, the next moment he opened his eyes he was in an extremely humongous hall, all around him different people could be seen, there wasn't much but about a hundred as they kept walking.
Everyone that Xiao looked at wasn't human, several different species were walking around Xiao saw elves, beasts, a Norak, and many more but all of them had one thing in common they were either extremely appealing or dangerous, and each one of them has an aura of pride, and the knowledge that they are among the best oozed out of them as they moved around the tower heading to challenge the greater floors,
"Wow...."
Li Lun's words brought him out of his thoughts as he saw Li Lun who was looking at the different species with sparkling eyes,
'Yeah, it's her first time'
Upon thinking so Xiao moved and caught her hand with his, making her look at him, her eyes widening after which a smile came to her face,
"Stay close"
Xiao spoke to which Li Lun wrapped her hands around him as she replied,
"Always...."
A smile took Xiao while his eyes discreetly scanned those among the younger inheritors that kept eyes on Li Lun ever since they both entered the tower, though this wasn't a one-way problem as it affected Xiao too.
While Li Lun was dazzling, Xiao was on another level, for those seeing him for the first time would have a great impact on them, even some High awakened elves looked at Xiao with shining eyes, his looks even being above theirs.
Chapter 141
Heavenly Opposers
"Let's enter the first tower"
Xiao spoke taking Li Lun with him, he could feel some ominous eyes focusing on them both, and right now Xiao wasn't in any mood to deal with some kid with an overinflated ego, thinking that they are the kings of the world.
First Xiao needs to know more about the current situation surrounding the tower before he takes any action, deciding so the two of them moved through the grand hall that was the beginner hall of the tower towards a more discreet area, upon reaching so Xiao turned towards Li Lun as he asked,
"Tell me everything you know about the tower, don't miss any details"
Hearing so Li Lun nodded her head as she began to talk about all the information she knows about the tower, Xiao stayed focused as he kept listening to the information with a focused gaze, not letting any information leave his mind, while doing so he talked to the new addition to his entourage,
'Mia, tell me do I rule the tower?'
[[No, master]]
This answer didn't discourage Xiao as he asked,
'Then give me the overview of the current situation'
Upon hearing so Mia started to explain.
[[It won't be wrong to say that you are partially the master but you have yet to win the true recognition]]
[[I am the controller of all information that rules over this tower, that means, hidden bosses, treasures, items, stigmas, beast eggs, ways to win, challenges that will come your way, everything will be at your fingertips]]
'So what should I do to become the real owner?'
Xiao asked.
[[You have to conquer the 99th floor]]
'Um? but I thought that this tower is conquered?'
[[That's not true, due to an agreement made years ago, the inheritors of the constellation are allowed to train and grow here, each floor of the tower being remade to match the trials that the constellation made for their successors]]
[[In other words, a fake version of the tower was made for them, where they climb to the top, the true trails to reach the 99th floor were forgotten]]
This revelation surprised Xiao as his eyes widened, his mind playing through several scenarios as he questioned,
'Then why did no one take up the real challenge, why was even the constellation kept at dark about this?'
[[Due to a simple reason.....they are all unworthy]]
This quietened Xiao down as he took in his arrogant words of Mia but he didn't reject it as he questioned,
'Who made the tower?'
[[All that information was erased from my ego long ago]]
'Was he your master?'
[[No, all I know is that whoever it was created me]]
Xiao's mind started to play several scenarios in his mind, the information that he received making things much more confusing, just who did the tower belong to that it deemed constellations ones that reached the power level to leave their legacies within the cosmos unworthy? it was then that it clicked on Xiao,
'Wait? was this agreement made with the constellations to search for a talent that could inherit this tower?'
[[Yes, master]]
Mia's answer confirmed his theory causing his mind to cook up several theories, he wasn't going to let this topic last for another day, Xiao needed more information,
'So till now, no one worthy to take up the real challenge was found?'
Xiao asked,
[[Yes, master]]
'Then am I worthy?'
Xiao called out that since Mia had joined with him, she has gained the right to look into his talents.
[[Yes]]
"Xiao, did you understand all that?"
Li Lun asked to which Xiao nodded his head, while he was talking with Mia, he also was dealing with Li Lun, it all works due to his other skill [Mind Split], helping him work on different issues at a single moment,
"Yes, I got it all, so you want to enter now?"
Xiao asked to which Li Lun nodded with a happy smile on her face, she once again confined up to his hand, seemingly to mark her territory, though Xiao understood that she has yet to embrace all her sides.
It's the same with Yurou, the two possessive girls have yet to embrace their whole selves,
'When the two of them find out about each other they will surely try to kill the other'
Xiao thought but he wasn't worried, the two of them are powerful on their own, and killing the other won't be easy, plus both their backgrounds will surely make it such that the two of them won't be able to go on an all-out slaughter.
Not unless they want a war that brings two different high-ranked realms to battle.

Xiao peeked at Li Lun as he thought so, and soon the two of them kept walking before which they reached an ominous-looking portal, just as the two of the stood before the portal a very familiar blue light came from the top of the portal, scanning both Xiao and Li Lun.
"Inheritor Li Lun of The Void Empress Of Endless End detected"
"Registering information..."
"Assigning the assisting male as companion..."
"Opening portal to the trials"
Just as the words were over the portal before the two of them started to shake and swirl before after which it became grey in color, seeing it Xiao looked at Li Lun with a smile as he spoke,
"You ready?"
"Always"
Li Lun immediately replied and upon hearing so the two of them walked through the portal, disappearing under the eyes of many that gazed at the two new additions to the Tower Of Trials, hoping to know which constellations the two of them belonged to, even within the constellations there are those that are strong and weak.
While some gazed with desiring looks both Xiao and Li Lun felt their body shift after which the two of them appeared within a walkway that was shrouded in mist, the two of them appeared in the same manner, with Li Lun clutching onto Xiao, at the place they were the two of them were unable to see ahead.
To the sides were two huge walls while ahead lay fog through which sight was impossible, subtle powerful void Qi surrounded the vast walkway but thanks to the gift of Teresa Xiao didn't now need to awaken his cloak to deal with the void Qi around him, it was now a bit more familiar to him,
"Feel the thread of the Void Qi's that is spread about and find your way out....."
"But be warned, a small mistake in sensation, then you lay defeated...."
The emotionless voice was heard, informing the two about the trials that lay ahead,
'Mia?'
[[Yes, master]]
'You know the way out?'
[[I know everything]]
'Cool, help me when I ask'
[[Of course, master]]
After speaking so he looked toward Li Lun as he spoke,
"How do you feel?"
"I can sense these threads that lead us but its quite hard to keep a tight grasp of it"
Li Lun replied to which Xiao nodded his head, he couldn't really sense these threads, unlike Li Lun he isn't gifted with power over the Void,
"Looks like this trial is for you to get a better grasp of void Qi"
"Looks so"
Li Lun nodded her head as she took the lead,
"I will take the lead"
She spoke as she started to walk ahead, Xiao didn't disagree as he started to follow her.

'Well this is new'
Xiao thought as he was led by Li Lun, he could subtly feel the void Qi around him but he wasn't too proficient in it, the odd thing here was the fact that more close he is to Li Lun, the more better he felt the void Qi around him, he could also feel a subtle powerful attraction from her too,
"Wait"
Suddenly Li Lun spoke as she stopped, just as she did the area before them started to get shaky before which several dangerous void rays bisected the place they should have walked into,
"Well, that's not good"
Xiao spoke as he looked at the scorched blurry ground before him, though he wasn't surprised much as Mia was displaying in front of him a perfect map of the trial they were in, Xiao could blindly walk through this place and reach to safety but that would have totally destroyed the objective of this trial, there's also the fact that this is a good situation for Li Lun to grow stronger,
"It's getting harder for me to track the threads of Qi"
Li Lun suddenly said making Xiao frown but that didn't last before which he tightened upon Li Lun's hand which held to him, a smile of trust taking his face as he spoke,
"Don't worry, we will take it slow and I will be here beside you to support you in any way you desire"
Hearing Xiao's words Li Lun calmed down as she took deep breaths, a relaxed smile taking her face, letting go of his hand she soon sat cross-legged on the ground, she kept taking deep breaths as Xiao felt the void Qi around him started to swirl around Li Lun,
'She's enchanting her focus over the Qi'
Upon thinking so Xiao sat beside Li Lun in a similar manner, the Qi that was surrounding Li Lun soon started to surround him, both of them feeling and enhancing their control over their respective Qi, this lasted for a minute after which Li Lun and Xiao opened their eyes, both of them looking into each other and being lost in the eyes of each other for a second,
"Better?"
Xiao asked with a smile to which Li Lun nodded her head with a blush on her face, both of them stood up as Li Lun spoke with a serious voice,
"Be safe"
"I will"
As Xiao replied Li Lun took his hand again as she started to walk forward, he walking close along with her, the fog now looked much more dreadful as both of them felt a heaviness around them, the void Qi around them was now much more forceful and heavy,
'It's good to we improved before heading out again'
Xiao could feel that the void Qi around them was now getting better in quality, making it much harder for the two of them to move around. Suddenly Li Lun pulled Xiao forward making him lunch front and just as he had moved a ray of dangerous grey light arrived at the exact head location of Xiao.
But this was not over as several other rays kept falling upon them, this time Li Lun was in a pinch as she took the active role of fighting, her beautiful bow appeared in her hands as she used the edge of her bow to smack away any lights hitting close to them, she was a guardian for Xiao as she exchanged some blows on her body to protect Xiao from getting hurt.
Knowing that Xiao wasn't as proficient as her, she had to give it her 200% just to make sure that Xiao wasn't hurt, at some locations of her body small cuts took place but she didn't pay any heed to them as she kept moving all around Xiao, her hands not even resting as she kept taking in all the attacks,
Ping!.....Ping!.....Ping!.....Ping!
The hands that held the bow were getting tighter while Li Lun's eyes were getting more and more ferocious, just the fact that a mishap from her could hurt or worse kill Xiao was burning her heart as she started to defend herself with greater vigor, her control over her Qi kept getting better, as she started to go into a higher level of understanding.
The third eye on her forehead trembled a bit but it didn't open, it just trembled for a bit before which it went to rest, the grey void Qi around Li Lun was now moving more fluidly than before, she was using them to block some attacks she was doing so while improving her understanding over her bow, her desire to protect Xiao was to let loose as she made sure that no void ray shall harm Xiao,
'Atta girl! that's how you do it! let's see how he won't fall for you no!'
Teresa cheered on as she saw this heart-moving scene, her eyes lit up in entertainment as she saw her successor getting stronger with each passing second, it would seem that the idea of protecting the one she loves was pushing out all the latent talents within Li Lun,
'It's working well'
Tereasa used the reverse plan of beauty protecting the prince, just what man could not have his heart moved when a girl was protecting him with everything she'd got? Moreover, the said man right now was in danger while being protected, this would only invoke the feelings he has for the girl to be higher.
In normal circumstances, Teresa knew that this trial will be a breeze for Xiao, especially after she herself got a taste of his power but the trial was meant for growth and understanding, this would mean that Xiao could only use the gift she gave him, he right now was definitely in grave danger!
Teresa didn't live for so long without having picked up one or more ways to manipulate the heart, she was sure by the end of the three trials that these two have to go through, both Xiao and Li Lun will definitely be very lovey-dovey!

While such thrilling scenes were going on the boy in question was in an entirely different situation, he was getting blasted from all sides yet Li Lun moved and got hurt to protect him, his eyes were deeply focused on her actions,

Though Xiao won't deny that he was touched by Li Lun's action, seeing such a girl trying so hard to protect him sure was making his heart feel warm but that still didn't change the situation, Xiao suddenly moved a bit causing three different rays to suddenly arrive at him through Li Lun's blind spot.
Upon seeing so Li Lun suddenly moved as she blast an arrow to intercept one of the rays before using all her concentration to control the void ray to miss Xiao, and the last one was taken by Li Lun's body as her shoulder scorched and burned, her shoulders trembling she stood in front of Xiao her back to him as she spoke with sweat and tiredness all over her,
"Huff.....huff.....don't worry I won't let anything happen to you"
'I'm touched'
Xiao thought as he looked at Li Lun with a widened gaze of anger at himself, he had to do this much at least to give Li Lun motivation and to deal with the peeper that's enjoying the show,
'Is Teresa still watching?'
[[Yes, master]]
? 'I can't be completely still'
Upon thinking so Xiao flashed his swords as he thought of helping out but suddenly Li Lun spoke raising her hands to block him,
"NO! this is my fight! I want to protect you myself, this time I will be the lead!"
Li Lun screamed with all her heart as she fought forward, while Xiao on the outside had a touching expression, yet his thoughts were different,
'Why do I feel like a girl?....eh...of well might think about other things now'
So Xiao started to talk to Mia to know more about the tower while Li Lun fought with her life to protect Xiao, in between at times Xiao would scream out in fright, while sometimes cheering on. it was a chaotic situation?
