Chương 67: I finally have a wand!
Albus was looking at me with hope, as I froze with utter shock. "Which wand are we talking about?" I gulped, as I didn't want to misunderstand his words.
He looked at me, as if I hit my head on Voldemort's snake. "My Elder Wand, of course."
"Why would you do something like that?" I asked in shock. Now it was his turn to be confused.
"What do you mean Leo? You are looking for a wand, aren't you? And Garrick informed us, you haven't found a suitable core, and the Basilisk refused to donate her horn to you."
I nodded, "Yeah", but shook my head. "That isn't the problem. I mean, it is the elder wand. The strongest wand ever made. Why would you part with it?"
He chuckled at my outburst. "Leo, I am an old man now, my life nearing its end; if not in this decade, then the next, if not, then surely the next. I have achieved what I could, made mistakes where I shouldn't and learnt a lot along the way. And now if my time is at its end, and I must look back, then I would be glad to have you inherit my wand, and my knowledge, so that it may serve you better than it did to me."
I couldnt say anything more, as I had to look away when my eyes felt itchy from the dust in the office. The elves seemed to have grown lazy in their work. "Get your office dusted old man, it is stuffy in here."
He looked at the shining gleam reflected off the various items that have been stored in the office over the years, and saw the spotless room which has been that way for as long as he has ever seen this office. "You aren't honest with your feelings Leo, but I will ask the elves to work harder in cleaning my room. But I must ask, will you accept my request?"
I nodded slowly. "But you are not allowed to go on your next adventure, until I have drained your mind dry if every bit of information and knowledge that you possess, you hear me?"
He nodded with a smile. "But I am an old man, and there is much you have to learn."
I turned to the side, not looking in his face. "I am in no hurry."
