For the next several days, Eiravyne found herself enveloped in an unsettling silence.

 Both Ilkar and Karl seemed to disappear from her life, leaving her to navigate her days with an anxious sense of solitude.

 Karl was occupied with finding a strategy to ensure she could pass the forthcoming test, while Ilkar was fully engaged in fortifying Wandova's defenses. 

His army, commanded by Roland, was meticulously securing the estate, leaving Ilkar's presence scarce and his duties pressing.

During this period, Eiravyne dared to hope that Ilkar might have abandoned his interrogation. 

The absence of his scrutiny, along with the temporary reprieve from Ilomina's anger, offered her a fragile sense of relief. 

She couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for avoiding Ilomina whenever their paths crossed. 

Her own anxiety made her shy away from encounters, hoping to avoid further conflict and keep her nervousness at bay.
