"Can you swim?" Daphne asks Kian. He was startled by her voice, she was standing behind him. 

"Yes," Kian said. He was surprised that Daphne was speaking to him. After the last conversation they had, when she was still irritated by what he did to her he had thought that Daphne wasn't going to speak to him again. After all, he was strong enough to move around by himself, she didn't need to help him with anything. "I can," Kian added.

Daphne came out of her room and saw Kian staring mindlessly at the pool. She was curious to know what he was thinking about. But she knew that he wasn't thinking about swimming. Not with that chest injury. Daphne wanted to ask what was on his mind but instead, she asked, "I recently remembered that you once told me that you weren't allowed to leave Rays city without alpha Dominic permission.
