Unpausing the world, the entity was laying on some fluffy universes with some food it took from the cheapskate A.I. that had a host capable of cooking eldritch beings.
It looked at the progress and the state of the paused world, and decided it needed come changes after cringing. A little tweaking here and there...
Oops.
Well, there's no turning that back. Alright time to erase some stuff Here and here and-
...
Well, it's not like there were any importan- oohh there were memories of a first friend. oh. The feelings will still be there at least.
Saving the changes made, the entity laid down contentedly, enjoying its plate of cheese-ry'leh tteobokki.

Resuming the time flow, Midoriya looked in awe at the pearly gates of UA, and the giant glass-concrete structure that would be his (hopefully) soon-to-be hero school. He didn't want to let his mentor down, so he was going to try his best! He was going to go Plus Ul-
And then tripped over a mistake Cementoss made while re-paving the path due to an accident with the support course examinees.
[Is this how I die? How the legacy of One for All ends? I'm so sorry All Might, I was a dissa- this has been going on for an awfully long time, why haven't I fallen yet?]
"Are you ok? It's bad luck to trip on the first day, especially on an exam, so I used my quirk on you. Sorry about that!"
Midoriya righted himself, and "talked" to her.
"N-no! It's alright!"
She smiled at him and gave him her name.
"The name's Uraraka Ochako, by the way! See you!"
While the poor, poor, baby berry boy was standing there with steam coming off of him. The people walking by assumed it was part of his quirk and moved on, except for one.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{Man, that guy's stumbling like a newborn deer. or shaking like a rabbit. Heh! I should help him, though.}
Walking up to Zuzu... never mind the nickname, they grabbed his shoulder.
"Ey, man, ya gotta get goin' to the exam thing before they close the gates."
Startled, Izuku turned to look at the person who grabbed his shoulder. With a quick thanks, he ran off to the exams.
Lyavin was left behind in front of the rapidly closing gates of UA. Quite a bit miffed, they walked off. They didn't understand why they wanted to help him and that they were forgetting something important, but that happened all the time.
"Mmgh... I want cheese takoyaki. The guys ate almost all of it the last time bag-eyes got some."
Walking in the general direction of the food shops, our now-hangry MC speeds up when hearing a call for help.
Soon, they end up in the alleyway right next to Mako Tako, watching a murder take place. making sure that there aren't any cameras, Lyavin snuck up on the thug while flattening their hand.
At the last moment, the thug turned around only to find that his body was around three meters away from him in his last moments. The body grasped at its neck before collapsing next to the murdered dark-green-haired woman.
Lyavin, taking great care to not dirty themselves more than they already have, wiped their hands on the thug's jacket and took the money from both bodies, double checking the woman just in case. She was slim and had makeup on, making sure that Lyavin didn't know her.
Walking out of the alley, they walked to Mako Tako and immediately ordered (also received) one eight-piece serving of cheese takoyaki with a bottle of strawberry ramune.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As they walked around the district, they happened upon a bakery that had beautiful cupcakes on display. The bakery had a homey atmosphere, with drawings below the countertop and on the walls and a signboard saying, "Satō's Yakimashita Okashi", or "Sugar's Baked Sweets". Maybe it had to do with their quirks or something, they didn't know.
{The others would probably take my takoyaki and ramune if I don't buy anything for them, anyway...}
Totally not out of habit. Nope. God, this would probably take quite a bit of yen since the bakery's next to UA.
Walking into the store, Lyavin examined the goods for sale. Pudding-like sponge cakes, slices of strawberry shortcake, fruit tarts, chocolate cake, danishes, buns, melonpan, anpan, various Swiss rolls like ube and matcha, varied cupcakes and more were laid out.
Looking at their (stolen) wallet, at the prices, the wallet again, they couldn't buy any of the larger tarts or the whole cakes. Not like they wanted to get them anyways.
A tiramisu slice for bag-eyes as he certainly needed the caffeine, a chocolate-cherry for shigs with sprinkles, strawberry shortcake for N-M with chocolate sauce drizzled on top, with a dulce-de-leche for Lyavin.
Alright, they could go order now. tiramisu, choco-cherry with flat sprinkles, strawberry shortcake with chocolate sauce, and one dulce de leche with a cherry on top.
What do they- oh yeah, they just remembered their order. Walking up to the cashier, lyavin ALMOST messed up the order but managed to keep themself from tripping over their own words.
At the counter, they were sweating slightly. The cashier, oblivious to their mild anxiety, initiated contact.
"Welcome to Satō's Yakimashita Okashi, what would you like today?"
"I'll take one slice each of tiramisu, chocolate-cherry cake with sprinkles, strawberry shortcake with drizzled chocolate sauce, and dulce de leche with a cherry on top, thanks."
"Anything else? If not, then your total will be ¥2,675 including tax. The owner's son is taking the UA exam today, so everyone gets a 40% discount!"
"Uh, thanks!"
"Come again!"
Quickly taking the cake slices and leaving a tip, Lyavin rushed out of the admittedly nostalgic and homey shop and rushing towards the residential district's train.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Slowing down in front of a small-ish house, Lyavin grabbed their keys and opened the door. Only Shiggs was there, raging on an old game that Lyavin haggled for at an antique store called Horizons New Dawn.
"STUPID FUCKING GAME, LET ME PROGRESS THROUGH THIS DUMBASS SPIDER BOT ALREADY!!!"
"Did ya forget to make healing items and looked at where the enemy, not the attacks were again?"
"GAH! Oh, Paladin, hope you brought good shit this time. Yesterday's noodle pancake things had kelp in it."
"I brought cake so wouldn't eat MY goddamn takoyaki, Shiggs! It's a pretty big slice with extra cherry, so don't blend it with red bull and monster energy this time!"
Lyavin put the Neito and Shinso's cake slices in the refrigerator on the upper levels, where the middle section was filled with cocktail ingredients and the bottom filled with energy drinks.
"I make no contracts you devilish paladin. And leave the HP item out on the table, I'll eat it later."
Lyavin sighed, putting the takoyaki, ramune, and their slice of cake on the table while shoving their cash in a jar labelled "Savings" which nei-ma and bag-eyes dip into for bandages.
"Ey Shiggs, you know where neito-ma and bag-eyes are?"
"Mimic and hypno went to the fucking hero shit exam."
"Great, now I just have to babysit your crusty ass all day. Anyways, you need help with that boss?"
"Hnng- almost- godDAMNIT! fucking fine, but only because you bought this bullshit game anyways."
Setting down their cake on the Ikea table and taking one last bite of the takoyaki, Lyavin picked up the PS4 controller. The spider was an ass to beat and they never bothered playing after getting past the Saber-fang and entering the ruins mostly due to their hyperfixation running dry. After crafting some healing and speed boost potions, they initiated the scene.
There the fat motherfucker came in. They'd have to aim for the joints and eyes with fire and explosion arrows to get as much damage in, while avoiding the red circles on the ground. They got in close when it fell on its shell and finished off the spider, while also getting the mind-control option for Shigakiri's account.
"Wha- this is bullshit! No way it was THAT easy! Where'd you get good anyways!?!?"
"Trade secret, and keep an eye on the ground and the HP bar mess-man, and I assure you the next boss is harder with a different style. You're still at the beginner stage in this game too, there's a fuckload to explore with side quests being vital. Also, the mind control only works on the horse-machines. Experienced it the hard way."
"Hmmph, fine! I won't need your help with the next boss, it'll be easy by the time I get to it!"
"Yeah, yeah. Boost your HP, ammo bag, and craft more shit so you'll be fine. Don't eat any of the others fucking food, alright? This is MY place that I'm paying the bills for when you guys break shit and you're just here because of the old videogames that I have that aren't centered on heroes!"
"Fucking shut it, I know that already! Besides the LOV is going pretty nicely. Sensei would be proud."
"Call your nerd club Herofall or somethin' else and not LOVE without the E you cringey INCEL!"
Rushing upstairs with all of their food in hand, they closed their master bedroom door. Inside, there was a pile of dirty clothes, a huge bed, a computer monitor paired with a PC on a hardwood desk, an internet router next to it, walls painted with dragons and butterflies on them, an alarm clock on the nightstand, dark brown drawers with BB guns placed on their tops, and a white door leading to the restroom.
Unzipping their thin jacket to reveal that they hadn't worn anything under it and jumped onto bed, grabbing their phone from the charger, put their plate of takoyaki and cake on their lap, and scrolled for the rest of the day. At least until Shigakiri left. After that, the others came back...
Motivation died. I have no excuses. also, 1,642 words!
