Asher found himself outside the Shen ancestral home the next morning.
Today, he opted to drive by himself instead of using the driver's service.
Instead of going straight to the office, he ventured to the highway heading to the old house. In a little over forty minutes, his black sedan pulled up in the spacious yard.
Getting out of the car, Asher just stood straight with both hands inside the pocket of his black trench coat. His gaze was thrown into the distance, looking at the mountain far from there.
The place where he used to spend days in hunger and fear, thinking that he was at death's door. Although those memories no longer affected him, he always found the place unpleasant.
"Young Master Shen, good morning."
Several staff noticed Asher's presence. They were caught off guard because today was a weekday. It was an extremely rare occasion for their workaholic young master to be here at such a time.
