'I'm sorry, Lili. I don't want to... remind you of your pain, but... I can't imagine what you will feel on that day.'

"I hope I can be with you but... I'll be thousands of miles away."

Liliana replayed Lucas' words from this morning in her mind while alone in her bedroom. Biting her lower lip, she unconsciously clenched the blanket covering her frame, uncertainty prodding into her heart.

This was the very first time Lucas brought up anything about the child Liliana lost on that fateful snowy night. It was a subject she wouldn't ever bring it up herself unless it was absolutely necessary.

Within two weeks after Liliana learned about the child's existence in her womb, she was over the moon, delighted to know she would have a child with Asher.

Liliana thought the child would help strengthen their fragile marriage, something she ashamedly admitted was a foolish move later.
