"Mom."
"...Mother."
Lucas lowered the phone, his eyes landed on Linda's flushed face and reddened eyes. A nice scent wafted in the air, coming from her. It was the smell of the body wash provided by the hotel.
"Mom, come sit here ah," Kevin stood up from his chair. He grasped Linda's shoulders from behind and pushed her to the chairs, "Let's watch the sea. Isn't it pretty?"
Linda was quiet as she took a seat on a vacant chair. Her dull expression showed the sorrow clawing into her heart. Her anger from before faded, being replaced by sadness.
Lucas pursed his lips. Pushing the chair backward, he rose to his feet while saying, "Let me brew some tea and get some snacks. Wait here."
Kevin glanced at his elder brother, conveying his thanks through his eyes. Lucas just shrugged before disappearing back into the hotel room.
