Chương 3: Genius

His grandfather had the title of baron, so he had the most power in the family. He seems to be in some kind of closed-door training and in a critical stage of becoming stronger, which is why his grandfather did not come to see him at the time of his birth.

After knowing all of this, he really wanted to see his grandfather and how strong and capable he was. All the servants and soldiers were in awe every time they mentioned him.

In these two months, he also finally got to know what that mysterious energy is and what it is called.

They called it 'Prana', or, in simple terms, it means life force, which somehow people here can control and utilise to get power beyond their limits.

This prana was entirely new to him, and he was very interested in it, but sadly, he could not do anything about it as he did not know anything except its name.

He could not see all how they train, as it was not like his mother or servants would take him there daily; from what he had seen, it was nothing more than their warm-up and nothing more.

He wanted to see how they move and how they battle. Would it be like in movies with super-fast movements doing acrobats, or could they launch projectile attacks like in anime?

Apollo wanted to see, but he could not.

"Sigh!"

Being a baby stinks. There are many things he wants to do, feel, and know, but all he can do is cry, pee, and shit in his pants. Now that he thinks about it, sucking boobs is actually the only good thing.

After learning the language, nothing much changed as his life as a baby continued, and two weeks later, his grandfather, Baron 'William Fletcher', came out of his closed-door training.

And the first thing he did was see his grandson Apollo.

"Haha, let me look at my grandson."

He came to the bed where Apollo was lying. And finally, Apollo also met his baron grandfather, the strongest person in the Fletcher family.

Seeing that the baby Apollo was looking at him with his cute baby eyes, Baron William looked at him with interest, as he felt something was different about his grandson.

"Oh! It's like my grandson is a genius that comes once in a century."

Normally, babies and young kids would feel invisible pressure upon seeing him because of his strength; they would start crying, but Apollo was alright, and he was just a two-month-old baby.

But Apollo, after seeing his grandfather for the first time, was feeling anxious from the moment their eyes met.

He felt like his grandfather could look into his mind, which horrified him, thinking his secret might get leaked in a moment.

Grandfather William moved his hands and held Apollo's right hand gently, and then a warm spring-like energy gushed out of his hand, which bathed Apollo's entire body with it.

Apollo's mind got blank at the moment as he felt his body getting warm and his anxious mind, which was in chaos a moment ago, calmed down. He felt a euphoric feeling that he had never felt before; it was intense, like taking drugs.

The warm energy moved inside his body for a few seconds and then slowly disappeared like it was never there.

"Good, very good."

"Haha, the Fletcher family will regain its glory."

"John, finally, you did something good besides marrying Louise."

"Father, what is it? Is my son very talented, just like you?" Apollo's father John, standing beside him, could not help but ask, seeing the happiness on his face.

"Yes, Father, what made you sure to say these things?" Louise could also help and ask, as this is about her son's future.

"Ha ha, you both are fortunate. Apollo might have a mutated physique that only appears once in one million people, and the mutation is in a good direction, not a deterioration or alteration."

"What! Father, are you sure about this?"

"Brat, who do you think your father is? I am ninety per cent sure my grandson has a mutated physique. His blood vessels and nerves seem to be three to four times wider and sturdier; even his Prana circuits are already in a semi-opened state."

"What have his life energy circuits already opened?"

"Didn't it mean bad if his Prana circuits are already open? Will he lose his life energy with time and die because of this?"

Louise asked nervously, as Apollo was too young and could not use his life energy now.

"Don't worry, that's why I said they are semi-opened, which means that normally his life force cannot flow out of his circuits unless he forcefully opens them. This situation is honestly advantageous for him, as it protects him from dangerous situations where he can run out of life energy."

"It's like a safety valve that can help him control his input and output of life energy quickly, without needing decades of training."

"This means that he can start his training at a very young age; he can start his proper training of releasing and controlling life energy after some basic training."

Hearing this, both his parents and Apollo, who had calmed down knowing his secret seemed safe, were surprised.

"Hahahaha, my dear, our son is a genius that is difficult to find in the kingdom or even in the whole continent."

"Stop shouting in front of our son's bed; don't disturb him; let him rest."

Both of his parents started mumbling with joy, which can clearly be seen on their faces, and then they left, seeing him close his eyes.

Seeing his parents and grandpa, he almost left, then slowly opened his eyes.

"Phew! Safe."

But at that moment, his grandfather stopped and quickly glanced behind. He looked at him in the bed for a moment and left the room.

"F**K! Almost my weak, delicate baby heart had a heart attack."

Apollo opened his eyes after a few seconds, feeling shocked after his first meeting with his grandfather.
