Chương 17: Exploration
Edward noticed a necklace on the neck of Daisy, a variety of animal teeth, joined together by a leather cord. Not only her, but many women he saw back at the cave, almost all of them had ornaments on their necks, but it seems that the only one without a necklace was Night.
Her beautiful neck is empty.
"Daisy, the necklace on your neck is beautiful! Why is Night only one without one?" he praised with a smile. This girl had a different kind of charm when compared with the extraordinary temperament of Night. In the modern context, she was like the cute neighborhood girl.
"This....", Daisy mysteriously replied: "She... she only needs the teeth of the saber-toothed tiger for her necklace and no other animal!"
This time it was the turn of Roc to interject: "Night sister made an oath earlier, unless she gets the teeth of the saber-toothed tiger, she will not meet any man!"
Suddenly, Edward's brow slowly opened, and he probably figured out what it meant.
'Night is actually a virgin! God, she is still a virgin!'

It was already late, and there were a few howls of wolves that could be heard from deep in the jungle. Debro and Roc covered the fire around with stones from the ground.
Night and Daisy slept together, and Debro, Roc and Edward slept on the other side of the fire.
This was the first night after his crossing.
Edward had experienced too many things in a single day. He was happy that he kept his wits up until now. He was joyous for his meeting with Night and also happy to have the company of Daisy, Roc sibling and Night's little brother Debro. He was not alone in all this.
Early next morning, everyone got ready and marched toward the open valley where the deer usually appeared.
Along the way, Edward, who kept looking around, found a small piece of hidden bamboo forest, which made him ecstatic!
'Such a good material for making bows and arrows is really worth the effort!'
However, in the face of the bamboo, with the thickness of each bamboo, even in modern society, it was not easy to cut it down without the help of suitable tools, let alone during the Stone Age.
Edward took a few shots at the thick bamboo,
"Hey, we need a bamboo. Do you think there is a way to cut it down?"
Looking at what Edward was referring to, Debro was shocked and said:
"This… is so thick… I have never cut something… something like this. How to cut it… cut it right?"
Edward could not understand what Debro meant but still nodded. Along the way, Night had told the few people of their new tribe, everything, and all what Light could do. She especially stressed that they must listen to his instructions and not react harshly or be afraid.
'Hehehehehe, my very own little tribe made of five people including me. Can't really call it a tribe right now...'
Edward didn't said anything else. He took out a sturdier stone axe and started to hack away at the bamboo. Roc replaced Debro on the other side as he copied after Edward and hacked the bamboo from the opposite side.
Seeing as there was no real progress, Edward and the rest started to idle around, collecting some wild fruits and nuts from the surrounding.
His eyes wandered towards a small tree full of red dazzling fruit, and his heart suddenly jumped in joy. This was the first fruit he had seen by now. As Edward picked out one of the fruits and was about to eat it, Night immediately shouted from the side:
"Light! Don't eat it, the fruit is harmful!"
Edward scalps went numb as he was full of shock. Without any hesitation, he threw the fruit away!
"Light, you can't eat it, there are many fruits in this forest that are harmful!"
Night's chest heaved as she breathed a sigh of relief, her upper body was barely covered by the animal skin and so Night's deep breathing at the moment painted a very erotic picture. Quickly, shaking his head, Edward attempted to calm his mind.
Edward resumed his work on the bamboo along with Roc as others kept gathering nuts from the surroundings. Finally, Edward called everyone back and directed them to push the half cut bamboo down.
Due to everyone's combined weight, one of the thinner bamboo, Edward was working on, was nearly bent towards the ground but Edward stopped everyone when he felt it was enough for the moment.
"We will go and check out the area the deer are usually seen at. When we are going back, we'll take this with us."
He knew that there was no point in taking the bamboo along with them to hunting so it was better to fully cut it down and take it on their way back home.
