The closer he got to her, the more intoxicated he became from her natural scent. It made him want to take her then and there!

Caroline was still sitting upright, not noticing Eddison's intense gaze. 

Her tender skin seemed to illuminate the longer he looked at her. 

Just as he was about to reach out and touch her, he suddenly halted his movements.

He snapped back into his senses and the lust clouding his mind cleared in an instant. The stern way she sat reminded him that the flirty atmosphere from moments before had vaporized. As such, it prevented him from exacting his blasphemous intentions.  

His Adam's apple bobbed a few times and he swallowed a little as he cleared his throat. He moved away and made sure to keep a reasonable distance from her. 

All this happened within the span of a few seconds. However, right as he came back to himself, it felt like centuries had passed.

He had never met a person like Caroline who made him feel like this, ever.
