"'Golden Lion is dead." Sengoku spoke in a grave tone.
The eyes widened when they heard those words.
"Finally some good news." Akainu spoke.
"Maybe... Read this first." Sengoku said as he handed over the news paper that had arrived this morning.
Akainu took it out and read. There were many copies of said newspaper, so all of people in the room picked one and started reading, trying to figure out why Sengoku had called for a meeting for all the vice admirals and admirals.
Soon they understood.
"The Super Rookie, Gold Ace does it again! He defeated the Legendary Golden Lion Shiki, one of his fathe5r rivals. Shiki lost his life in a battle that lasted 3 quarters of an hour! Is Gold Ace walking in the foot steps of his father? Will he be the next Pirate King? How will the Marines respond?"
This news had already reached most of the world. It had shaken up all the seas as Ace's name echoed throughout the blues and the grandline.
People had come to understand that just like his father, Ace wasn't a small boat in a big ocean, rather, he was monomental player of piracy.
His name has now climbed up to the status of someone who might be able to challenge the Emperors, at least in the minds of the people.
Fear struck most of the world as they saw the name "Gold" come to light once again. Although onlya few people knew that the real name is Gol D.
"Gold Ace Huh...." Akainu spoke as the newspaper turned into smoke in his hands.
Garp stood up and left. To him, he felt multiple emotions emerging regarding this.
On one side, he was proud over his adopted son. He had become this strong and made a name for himself.
On the other side, he felt ashamed that he, as the hero of the marines, had a son that was the leader of the resolutionaey army. And now a grandson that was in direct opposition of the world government.
Garp was stupid, but he wasn't naive. He knew and understood the darkness of the world government, yet he had come to the conclusion that the world government is the better of the evils, so he stood on the side of "justice" and walked that walk with pride.
And he knew that his offspring and those he loved, wouldn't necessarily walk the same path, and he didn't care. He himself wasn't far off from becoming a pirate in his youth.
No matter if Ace had become a marine, pirate, a revolutionary, bounty hunter or a woodchucker, Garp would be proud as long as Ace wasn't outright evil and did his best.
But even then, the fact that Ace is a pirate while he is a marine, means that if their paths ever cross, Garp must make a choice. A choice between his calling or his family. A choice between his duty as a marine or his duty as a grandfather.
Will he be able to give up his justice for family, or will he be able to give up his family for his justice.
Garp left as his thoughts were to confusing for him to handle at the moment.
"Tsk, he should be at the forefront of putting Ace in chains." Akainun commented.
"Enough. What do you make of this." Sengoku asked he others.
They started scheming and making plans. Ace wasn't someone they could simply let grow. He was already making waves and he had barely left his home.
On Perfume Yuda, the Kuja pirates were reading the newspaper with excitement.
"Captain, hes getting further from us..." A Kuja pirate cried out, not liking that their friends, the Demon Ace Pirates were surpassing them.
"Hmph." Boa arrogantly seemed to not care.
'Ohhh my husband his shaking the sea, is this his secret message to me, that he wants to shake my heart???' Boa Hancock was shouting inside her mind in pure joy.
'Dont worry husband, I got your message, our love will be eternal.' her eyes glanced at the newspaper.
To her, it wasn't surprising that an ancient old man, that could barely walk, was defeated by her husband.
But the Kuja pirates were celebrating while complaining that they were getting left behind.
"Sister... Why do you have that glint in your eye? Right now isn't the moment for us to make a move." Boa Sandersonia adviced.
"No. Now is the time, set sail towards THAT place." Hancock commanded. She needed to become someone worthy of her husband.
Both Sandersonia and Marigold looked at eachother with wide eyes. They knew that Hancock had plans... But that was in the distant future... But now... It's all because of Ace, that damned male made their captain crazy.
The Kuja pirates weren't aware of what their captain was talking about, but they knew they were about to do something crazy so they all celebrated.
On an island, in the weakest sea, a few mountain bandits read the news as their jaws dropped.
"NAAANNNNIIIIIIIIIIIII?!!!!!" They all fell back in pure horror at what they had read.
"The punk did what??!"
"How powerful has he become?"
"How much guts does he have??!"
"Wait hold... On..... Why does it say 'Gold'..."
*GULP*
"We didn't mistreat him.. right?"
"We should take better care of Luffy, shouldn't we Dadan?"
"Give Luffy a good massage when he comes back... And tell him he doesn't have to hunt meat for us... And make sure to rub his feet...." Dadan started chanting.
The Black Pearl had sailed away since Yennow had died. But the usual joyous atmosphere that usually reeked from this ship, wasn't there.
Everyone moved as if they had lost something dear to them.
Gaga was the worst, she had revealed that she and Yennow had a secret relationship with each other. She could barely eat since Yennow had drowned.
Even Baby 5 that hadn't joined for long, seemed to feel very disheartened.
Cavendish, felt that it was unfortunate that Eynnow never had the chance to understand what true beauty is. They had fought side by side so Cavendish still shed a few tears for his friend.
They kept sailing in circles around nearby islands to make sure that he hadn't survived somehow. But there was no traces or news of him, after a month they accepted his death.
"Captain, we need to sail now, away from these parts I mean... Rumour has it that the Flame emperor is around here and the marines are on their way." Nami whispered to Ace, they were on an island called Nuba Island.
There was nothing remarkable about his island.
"Nn, I understand, let's go." Ace said as they set sail.
It didn't even take an hour before trouble brewed.
"Captain, bad news...." JoJo Pojo hurriedly came to his captain.
"I know, I felt it a while ago. Nami turn towards the north ." Ace commanded
"Full sail!" JoJo shouted towards the others as they dropped all the sails, allowing the wind to push The Black Pearl at its fastest speed.
The others worked hard, following the commands, but hey were clearly confused by what was happening.
It took a half hour before the crewmates understood.
The horizon from all directions, was filled with marines ships, maybe hundreds or more.
They were sailing towards the Black Pearl from four sections, the back, the sides and the front.
There were four bigger ships leading each section
When the Demo Ace Pirates realised this, they felt their blood go cold.
These numbers... It's a whole army, this is a setup that might be used to fight against an Emperor.
