Chương 16: The growler
It's staring at me, then it charged at me i stepped back and continued backing away and dodging while the growler just kept attacking me, then it got its hands stuck in a wall.
I took this opportunity to stab it but it was a feint, she took her hand out and knocked me back, thankfully i was fast enough to block with my sword.
I took a knife on the ground and carved a rune of 3 lines on my sword, then i chanted "nefir, za, kul, ani!" then pointed the tip of the sword at her.
Then a laser like beam of fire bursted out, but she dodged it. Then she put her hands on the floor, and then my legs became immobile, stuck to the ground
Then she charged at me, i created an icewall towards the entrance, then it started raining, the wall is in my favour.
She had a hard time breaking the wall, but each time she destroys it i make another stronger than the previous.
Then she gave up, when suddenly a pointed earth spear was pointed at me from inside the cave, she tried to pierce through the wall but it looks like she's at her.
Then instead she carved the same exact runes i created on the walls, and she said "well... Human... I'm... at my limit... But... I have much... Mana!"
Then the runes started to light up and she poured mana onto it. "i believe... You created... This spell... Now die... To your own spell!!!"
I stared at her and asked "is this... Where i die... No... I have so much to live for!!!" she ignored me and started chanting "nefir... Za... ku..."
Then i asked her "am i... Gonna die..." then she stared at me then she chanted the final word... "ani!" then i screamed "ahh!" then i said "just kidding!"
Then i smiled at her, as she stared all around her the cave is in flames everywhere, then she asked herself "but... How!!!"
Then i explained it to her "you took too long to chant the words, and also the overflowing mana you distributed created a malfunction in the spell, after all 3 lines of runes isn't enough to contain massive amounts of mana, especially considering the size of the runes you created were too small."
Then i continued "what's more i created the lines on the tip of my sword, you however created them on the cave walls not the pointed spear, oh and also... Look at the floor."
"i left lines on the floor when i was dodging your attacks to make sure they deal holy damage, i can't believe you didn't realise why i was dragging my sword on the ground."
Then she said "you think holy flames can kill me!?!" then my smile became wider, i replied "no, you see... I just plan on immobilising you... By stalling for time as you stand there listening to me!"
Then she suddenly realised she was sinking, her head was the only thing sticking out, growlers may be evolution, but they are still zombies, they don't feel pain.
And they might have medium level fire resistance. I simply got my feet out the ground she was surprised and scowled "you tricked me!"
Then she tried to get out, it was slightly working, then i removed the ice wall, and then i started pouring ice inside the cave.
She was stuck on the ground and the fire has disappeared, then she said "curse you... I'll curse you!!! And I'll see you in the afterlife!!!"
I don't really want to do this... But considering she's growler and she's strong guess i have no choice!
I showed my fangs and she was surprised "yo-your a va-" then i bit her in the neck. She resisted with the remaining strength she had left "no... Please... Kill me... Please show mercy!!!"
The hidden abilities of vampires is that they can suck the blood of their victims to heal themselves and get stronger at the same time, but not level up.
I've sucked enough blood from her so i stopped and retracted my fangs, then i said "there... I'm gonna kill you now..." she said "thank... You..."
If i don't kill her she will have the will to serve me, but i killed her. Then i cut off her head. And brought it with me. Every species are afraid of vampires... Even the demons... The brainless... Because of how strong this ability is...
And the reason for our extinction is the gods, and dragons... This would actually be a really good story if this was my life and not a game...
I proved the kill with the head and earned 3 silver coins, my teammates however i didn't meet, so i continued my journey! And i got quite a bit of benefits!
