Chương 1: Chapter 1: The story
I woke up to the birds chirping as the sun rays shines through the blinds, it appears that I have fallen asleep at my desk. Last night I have fallen asleep reading a book that I found while I was taking a walk on the forest, the book was in good shape it was kept in a chest with a lock but appears that the lock was tried to be broken by many people until they gave up, it just happens that the lock broke the moment I touched it. When I looked in the chest I found a book that looks like it's had just been in that chest for at least 13 years, I brought the book back home and read it surprisingly the story was very familiar as if I've read it before but I can't remember reading something like me. I snapped back to reality when someone entered my room, I realized I wasn't on my house anymore and stood up from my chair as I looked around in panic as the woman approached me.
["Leon what happened? Is something bothering you?"] she said going closer to me, I stopped her before she can get more closer.
["Hold up… Who are you and where am I?"] I asked her and she just laughed at me, I just stared at her with a confused look.
["Oh Leon your such a joker, you're at your room silly"] I taught for a moment at remember that the female lead's best friend is Leon. Leon Quinn Viper the crowned price of the light kingdom also being one of the strongest angel in the angelic realm and the key to the relationship of Lady Beth Anne and Prince Kio.
I went silent for a moment as I recall the story Beth Anne and Kio are the main characters of the story and Leon is their little messenger owl since they are too afraid to talk to each other, and to be honest I hated the two of them since they are the reason why later on the story Leon was killed for unknown reasons.
["Oh right… I apologies Anne, do excuse me though."] I said in a quiet voice as I walked passed her going in a random direction.
I found myself in hall of the royals, I looked around I saw the ancestors of Leon. As I remembered for centuries the first born is always a boy, it is said that is a curse that the gods brought to the Viper family for the reason of the first Viper killing the Goddess's husband and taking the crystal of power. It is also stated that the cursed also cause that every men in the family to die once they reached the age of 30, but on the story Leon died at the age of 28. I continued to walk along the halls as I reached the royal vault which contains the crystal that started all of this.
I went inside the vault gazing at millions gold and diamonds scattered on the floor and on the very middle a bunch of pillars surround the crystal that is protected by the strongest spell known to mankind. Getting closer to the crystal my mother called out to me, I turned to her seeing her worried face as she ran to me and embraced me tightly.
["Oh my precious boy I'm so glad you're alright…"] I remembered every single thing this woman did to Leon, to be honest she's not a bad person Leon didn't have any issues with her for now…
["I'm alright mother"] I reassured her giving her a soft smile as I tried to figure out what had happen to Leon that got his mother worried. It was never mentioned in the book but I remember that after he woke up the queen held a ball to celebrate.
["We should celebrate! How does a ball sound?"] My mother said at cue, I simply agreed knowing after this an attack will happen and a woman threatening Anne about something.
As I guessed it the screams of maids filled the halls as the guard told us to get out of the palace. My mother took the crystal a pulled me to hide in a safe place. As we both went out I insisted on checking out what's happening. My mother tried stopping me and kept telling me how dangerous it is, and that I just got better but is simply said that 'I'll be alright' and 'don't worry'.
I ordered one of the guards to escort my mother to safety as I headed to where the chaos is happening and as I have predicted Anne was brought to her knees by two guards as a woman approaches her with a dagger on her hand. As I watched I grabbed the sword that was displayed on the wall I charged at woman disarming her as I pointed the sword to her neck…
["LET HER GO OR YOU'LL NEVER SEE YOUR MASTER AGAIN…!"] I growled pointing the sword to the woman's neck.
The woman then ordered for her guards to let go of Anne I called one of my guards to assist Anne out of the castle. Just when I thought I was out of the clear my vision turned black as something had hit me in the head, I fell on the floor letting go of the woman allowing her to escape as they took me with them.
As I regained my consciousness back I noticed that I was tied with chains that are attached to the floor, I scanned the area and realized that they took me to their hideout, I tried breaking out of the chains and the fact I don't remember this happening to Leon at all but it was Anne who was kidnapped instead then the male lead arrived and saved her and their love story started. As I was remembering every single detail the doors suddenly flew opened and a tall silhouette approached me.
