The first floor lobby of the building was as busy as it had been that one rainy day when she hurried inside, drenched after she had dropped her umbrella on the way. Nobody paid attention to her, because she was not completely drenched and shivering from the cold with a frightened expression on her face. Everybody was preparing for the end of the day when they would leave to head home.
She already knew her way around the building so all she had to do was sign in. Normally somebody had to make an appointment to meet Deus, but the lady at the reception recalled who she was, mostly because her hair resembled that of one of her bosses. She feared she would get into trouble if she did not allow Histoire to pass through so she sent her up without the need to sign in. Histoire was glad that she did not have to wait or take the time to sign any papers and went into the elevator.
