Histoire spent the next ten hours uncomfortably asleep in the small bedroom compartment of the plane. She felt nervous and would sleep only minutes at a time before waking up again when she felt a sudden shift or change of turbulence, which occurred more frequently than one would think. Once she had boarded the plane, the realization that there was no turning back struck her as though she had not anticipated it, even though she greatly expected it to happen. It was late at night and she immediately went straight to bed so as to sob in the pillow before crying herself to sleep.
