Horrified was not anywhere near to accurately describing what Histoire felt when she reached the front entrance of the Jaeger's mansion - she had her gloved hand half raised and clutched onto the keys with the mission of unlocking the door when it suddenly swung open. In that second alone, she experienced a fluctuation of emotions as intense as her fever; from disquietude and alarm that forced her body to involuntarily take a step backwards and collide into the tall figure of the man behind her, to an insignificant tint of relief that was soon swallowed by the same fear when Deus gently grasped her shoulder and pushed her aside, stepping around her warily to approach the door.
