Midnight arrived slower than anticipated. That was the time Dr. Amin said was right to wait for if Deus wanted to see Histoire before he would end the day by having her rest through the night and possibly the entire morning. The older maid was relieved of the day's duties. Instead, she was tasked with staying with Histoire in the room she was moved to which was closer to Deus' study. For as long as she was still injured he would not leave the mansion, therefore he would bring his work from the office to his study early in the morning.
He still had some of the day's work to complete and retired to his study while the doctor tended to Histoire's health. At that rate, that would not be the last time the doctor would be called to treat Histoire. She sustained injuries every once in a while, and the fever only contributed to the life threatening strains inflicted on her body. Deus had not spoken to Ines but it was safe to assume that she was staying with her parents.
