Chương 49: The story behind the three kings.

He found an artifact deep inside the cave, but he didn't understand the language of the artifact. It took him 20 years to understand the language. He realized that he just found a God's artifact, which is forbidden for anyone to learn. Then he told about it to every Kings and Queens, and each of them sent one trusted person to go check the artifact with Bastian. They researched the artifact and learned about it from Bastian. Few years have passed and Bastian almost mastered the power from the artifact, but one thing he didn't know is that the artifact contains a curse to whoever is taking its power. Slowly his body is rotting, but he also gained an immense amount of power from it as well. He hid his rotten body and find a cure or anything else to preserve his own body, so he traveled around Asertia and found nothing. In the end, he gave up on finding a cure and went back to the cave to master its power. Once he's back at the cave, most of the researchers are dead and he noticed it's not because of the curse because their bodies are not rotten like him, but someone killed them. He rushed to where the artifact at, and he saw 2 men fighting to the death. Both of them are the researchers, Anderson Claymore the Elementalist, and Wallace Frederick the Monarch. Both of their bodies are rotten like Bastian, so he came out and asked what happened. They revealed the truth about the artifact, they said that the artifact is not meant to be learned by a mere human so it's not just a power that the artifact gave them, but also a curse. But whoever can master it, it will make them immortal but the curse can't be undone. Of course, that's not true, since they didn't translate the language correctly, and the truth is that the three of them are already immortal because of the curse. Bastian with greed and consumed by the power, since he's the one who found it. So he lied about working together to master its power and killed Anderson and Wallace. He mastered its power for himself, not knowing the fact that the three of them are already immortal. After he mastered its power, he found out the truth and died. The truth is, once he mastered the artifact, he is not alive or dead. He got teleported to the World of the Dead, a place where cursed souls live their lives, or Abandoned World, that's what we called it. Bastian also lives his life there forever. With his power, he ruled the World of the Dead and become the King of the Undead. Of course, Anderson and Wallace got sent there as well because they both mastered the artifact after they got betrayed by Bastian. For hundreds of years, they fought Bastian and finally destroyed the land where Bastian lives and create their own. That's the story of how Anderson become a Lich King and Wallace become a Tombs King. Bastian ran away with his army and for some reason, he managed to get out from the Abandoned World and came to the other side of the Underworld, and made a mess here. Anderson and Wallace found out that Bastian left the Abandoned World, so they followed him here. Lucky Bastian, he found out about another artifact in here. The God Artifacts inside Babylon Mountain. When Anderson and Wallace heard about it, the three of them starting to fight with each other. We, demons have been preventing them from getting the Artifacts for hundreds of years, and now Bastian got a gift from Harbfer and got the artifacts."
