Chương 28: The five elders and the truth about Zee and his friends!

She is staring at us and says,

"Zest... is this the children you are talking about? They are indeed extraordinary. Let's meet the King and the Elders in the Castle."

Her voice is so beautiful that hearing her speak makes me feel at peace. We all are going to the castle with Elder Aireen in front of us. Talking with Zee and the others, while Vivi, Kiel, and I just staring at her from behind. Seeing such a magnificent creature, Kiel's eyes are glimmering with happiness.

We are inside the castle, we are summoned to the Throne Room by the King. The Elders sit on the side of the room, Elder Aireen shapeshifting to her human form. She becomes prettier than in her Naga form. Zee says,

"Aireen you old hag, stop using that young woman body. It doesn't suit you."

The other Elders laughing at her, Zee, and the others too. Aireen replies,

"Huh, you're looking for trouble? Look who's talking, just speak it to yourself."

They continue laughing. King Saas Gibbes stands up and says,

"It's an honor to meet The Genesis, my father always indebted to you all."

G-ge-genesis?!?? Did I hear it wrong? No, I'm pretty sure I heard he called them The Genesis, I just realized that Aireen called Zee, Zest at the adventurer guild. Vivi and Kiel fall on their knees. Shocked and holding their heads. Aireen says,

"Oh no, they didn't know that you are The Genesis?"

Zee and the others just smiled. Zee replies,

"Well, now they know. It's time for them to know about us anyway."

Zee and the others standing in front of us, and showing us their true forms. Zee's hair becomes a bit longer, his eye colors become silver, and he says,

"Val, Vivi, Kiel. Let us reintroduce ourselves. My name is Zest, The leader of The Genesis, The Merciless, The judgment."

Edith's hair changed its color to shiny white silver, her eye colors become light blue, and she says,

"My name is still Edith, The Priestess of The Genesis, The Leader of The Archangels, The Twins."

Den's appearance looks exactly like Edith's, and he says,

"My name is Aiden, The God's Strength, The Eternal Flame, The Twins."

Secra's hair becomes longer than before, and change its color to silver greenish, her eye colors become light green, and she says,

"My name is Arches, The Fortune, The Joy Bringer, The older sister of the twins."

Vex's hair becomes longer and changes its color to blood red, his eyes are glowing red, and he says,

"My name is Vexar, The Fool, The Wicked, The Reader of the Future."

Vivi, Kiel, and I on our knees and speechless. This whole time, we've been spending, talking, training, and traveling with The Genesis. Then Zee says,

"We are still the same, we don't need any special treatments from you three. We are just adventurers like you."

Edith also says,

"Why are you so surprised, Val? You've been questioning yourself about who we truly are. Now you know, and after you got your answers. Is this how you react to it? Don't think about it too much."

Secra says,

"We would like you to keep it to yourself, and keep calling us the same name we told you. Or you want Edith to blow you into pieces?"

Secra smiles. The 5 Elders laughing so hard and Aireen says,

"Let's talk about this another time. For now, we are here to talk about Slyph and for your rewards, young children."

After we calmed down, King Saas Gibbes says,

"A children who killed the former elder, can you introduce yourselves?"

We are on our knees, and I reply,

"Your highness. My name is Val Belliot, 15 years old."

Vivi reply,

"My name is Viviette Leyhem, 15 years old. I'm a half-elf, your highness."

Kiel reply,

"My name is Kiel Farhan, your highness. I'm 15 years old."

King Saas Gibbes reply,

"Such an extraordinary younglings. As the Best Kin's King, I thank you for what you did. Slyph has been giving us hell and suffering. The Elders were planning on killing Slyph, but they are hesitating, because who would want to kill their own friend? Then you all came here and did it. As a reward, each of you will get 1 Royal Coin, and you all are and always be important guests in Jaque City. We will never forget and you are welcome to come here whenever you want."

Our jaw is dropping. 1 Royal Coin?! That's too much. We told the King that we cannot accept such a reward, but the King insist and we are not allowed to decline the reward. Zee asks jokingly,

"What about us, your highness?"

King Saas Gibbes don't know what to give them for the rewards. Genesis doesn't need money or fame or special treatments. Then the King asks,

"Mister Zest, I don't know what to give you as a reward. Is there anything you want from us?"

Zee replies,

"Well, our ass is sore from the journey using a carriage. We want to ride on Ragond to the Underworld."

Ragond? Who or what is that? Zee noticed my expression, and he says,

"Ohh right, the elders forgot to introduce themselves to you huh? Let me do the honor.

Aireen the Voice of Malice, 900 years, Fallen Naga

Ragond the Havoc, 850 years, Calamity Dragon

Vaywr the Thunderstorm, 800 years, Immortal Wyvern

Athan the Rising Tide, 800 years, Mighty Leviathan

Enix the Fire Lady, 750 years, Gracious Phoenix

As I said, old bags. But they're one of our trustworthy friends."

We bow to them and I ask,

"Can you tell us more about Slyph? Your highness?"

Aireen replies,

"Slyph was one of the elders, 400 years ago when DEATH appeared, Slyph met DEATH in the middle of the sea. Slyph trying to kill DEATH, but he failed. DEATH offered him a power that can kill and destroy anything. Slyph too tempted and accepted the offer, and Slyph really became stronger, but we 5 Elders noticed that something is different with Slyph, he got a horn on his head, so we think that's the power that DEATH gave to Slyph, and we think he can't control the power and losing his mind. He came back from the sea, Slyph destroyed and killed the Beast Kin that he promised to protect. We fought for 4 days and tried to destroy that horn but we can't, because he's too strong, so I finally manage to put a curse on his spiritual body, and destroying him slowly from the inside and thanks to Ragond, Vaywr, Athan, and Enix. They created a cave in the middle of nowhere and create a prison that is made especially for Slyph, and that prison is that lake inside the cave. We lured him with the help from the Great Elementalist Lomarc Claymore, using his Briyzel Rod, and imprisoned him in there with the cost of Briyzel as its Mana source for the prison lake inside the cave, so Slyph can't do any harm to anyone outside the cave."

So even though it has been 400 years since the curse given by Aireen. Slyph still can easily kill anyone with that power, and also no wonder why it's easier for us to fight him than what she told us from her story. Slyph already dying from the curse and we managed to kill him. We talked about our journey and how we ended up here with the King and the 5 Elders.

After we talked about how we ended up in Jaque City, King Saas Gibbes let us stay in the castle for as long as we want. But Zee declined and planning to go to the Underworld 3 days from now. Vivi, Kiel, and I are going to change our classes. Vivi goes to the Church, with Edith clinging on her back, teasing Vivi about her being Edith The Genesis disciple this whole time, while Kiel and I go to the training ground.

2 hours have passed, we meet each other and showing our licenses, we are officially Tier 4 classes. We are exploring Jaque City, but the rumor about us killing the former elder Slyph already spreading in the whole city. So we are kinda famous, and people are approaching us and showing their gratitude. The people are kinda busy with some preparation, looks like there's going to be a festival soon. We go back to the King's castle to have lunch together with The King and 5 Elders, Zee and the others also joining us. We are having lunch, and King Saas said that they will celebrate our accomplishments for killing Slyph tomorrow all day and we will be at the city with the King and the Elders, so tomorrow is going to be a busy day for us. While we are eating our lunch, Zee says,

"Aireen why are you joining us? This food won't make you full. I remembered when we're in the middle of nowhere and have no food, you asked me to accompany you to find some fishes in the sea, you ate like savages."

Everyone spitting their food and laugh. Aireen replies,

"Why do you told them that embarrassing story, I told you to keep it a secret from anyone. Do you have some kind of grudges towards me, Zest?"

Zee replies,

"You never allow me to ride on your back, that's why. I rode all the other Elders. Even lady Enix is so happy when I asked her that. Only you left, I wonder why you don't want me to ride your back."

Aireen blushing, and says,

"We-well, it's embarrassing... and it tickles me, I can't handle those feelings..."

Zee reply while pointing a fork at Aireen,

"You old hag, stop acting like a young woman. Your human form is too young as well, even it fits with your personality but knowing you are one of the oldest beings on Earth. It makes me sick."

Aireen replies,

"But you like it don't you?"

Winking at Zee while blushing. Everyone spitting their food again, even the King. Zee reply,

"Stop blushing from your own words you old hag. Wait, I just realized. When you're in your Naga form, aren't you naked? And you always proud of it. You are exhibitionist..."

Everyone is spitting their food again. Aireen screaming and her face is bright red and reply,

"KYAAAA SHUT UP ZEST!"

We all having a good time, and elder Aireen is the laughingstock. I feel sorry for her, I know how you feel elder Aireen. We spent the whole day inside the castle with everyone. I never thought I would meet the legendary Elders from Beast Kin, or everything to be honest. Without Zee and his friends, it will be a different story. It's almost midnight, we are looking at the beautiful city from the top of the castle, and we went to sleep.
