"You... What did you want, vampire?" Yu Mei Ren growled angrily when she saw this blonde-haired guy with crimson eyes, the culprit who made China become like this.
Despite the hostility that was shown by Yu Mei Ren, Titus just shrugged his shoulders.
"Are you sure you don't want to invite me into your house?"
The house that was inhabited by Yu Mei Ren was nothing more than a hut in the middle of a forest. "You don't seem to hate me as much as I thought," Titus commented.
"I really do, but I know better what you will do if I rub your inflated ego, vampire. Don't think I don't know the wicked deeds you have done lately. You simply don't just hurt your victims; you make them hurt spiritually by breaking what they care about most." Yu Mei Ren snorted.
"We are not here to talk about me, Yu Mei Ren. It's about you. You don't seem to care as much about China as I thought. If you were angry with me, you would strike without even caring about the consequences, the reason, or the rationality, all of them would be damned as long as you could hurt me, but you don't. Perhaps you are secretly glad that China is burned, so Xiang Yu will only have you in his heart." Titus chuckled and gave her a meaningful glance as she averted his gaze with a guilty conscience.
It was like her deepest and darkest secret was exposed in front of him, which made her not want to communicate with this vampire further.
Her rapid heartbeat undoubtedly evidenced that the vampire's words indeed had some truth in them.
They didn't say any further words as Titus patiently waited for Yu Mei Ren to say something.
"You should leave, Vampire. You're not welcome here." Her boredom then turned into irritation as she growled at Titus. She wanted him to leave for good. His presence undoubtedly made her state of mind chaotic and questioned her own beliefs. The sooner he left, the better.
"Before I leave, what about we talk about why you fell in love with Xiang Yu, Yu Mei Ren? I am curious about what made you so infatuated with him."
"It's been a hundred years since that last banquet, hasn't it? I want to hear the good story before I set my departure on my last journey slaying the gods before going home." Titus sighed.
"Will you promise that you will leave after this?" Yu Mei Ren glared.
She knew what this guy was talking about. It's been one hundred years since that last banquet. The guys were traveling around the world to hunt the remnants of gods. Even many heroic spirits were participating and joining with him. This was going to be his last journey.
"I do." Titus nodded.
"Humph, let me tell you then." By then, Yu Mei Ren began to start her fangirl mode as she exaggerated how manly and heroic Xiang Yu was in her story.
It's not just exaggerated – it's borderline delusional.
Despite the exaggeration, he caught a lot of information that made him raise an eyebrow and frown.
"So, what you wanted to say is, you fell in love with him because he showed his care for you?" In summary, her story is, she was originally worshiped by humans as a fairy and immortal. But when someone shows a little bit of care to the neglected MC, they will begin to devote themselves to their goddess despite the neglected MC said they didn't care about anything, obviously they cared, evident by the fact as long as people show them little bit of kindness, they will feel the warm in their heart. This is the state of Yu Mei Ren currently.

Xiang Yu was never truly hers; he was China's puppet.

"No comment." Yu Mei Ren refused to answer.
She remained tight-lipped, but a spark of something flickered in her eyes.
"So be it, then." Titus glanced at Yu Mei Ren's Buddhist state and stood.
He didn't hesitate to bid his farewell when he saw she didn't want to talk.
However, before he left, Yu Mei Ren whispered something to him which made him trance for a while.
"Titus Brunestud, be careful of the trap, you should go home."
She knew something, something that would bring Titus Brunestud to his doom if he still insisted.
Alaya had betrayed him. She cooperated with all the remnants of gods, heroic spirits, and the beasts that Gaia sent to ambush Titus in China. The supposed last journey and cooperation were nothing more than betrayal.
She was invited along with them to participate. If not for their conversation, she would have already set her departure long ago. But now, it was useless. Since Titus was wary of it, she would just tell him about it, and she knew better that his willingness to owe her a favor was precious. Compared to Alaya and Gaia, Titus was more trustworthy, so she was willing to sell this favor to him.
Undoubtedly, her warning earned a chuckle from him.
"Yeah, I shall go home. It's a pity that everything ended like this."
His regretful sigh turned into a blowing wind as he just simply left like that.

She knew better that Alaya and Gaia would hate her because she leaked out their plan.
Thus, this place was not safe for her.
She set her gaze in the direction of Titus Brunestud's blowing wind and went after him without hesitation.

I mean, after the MC conquered the Queen of Sheba and wrote an NSFW chapter of it, I lacked the motivation to continue the chapter.
