Chương 9: He came as her father!

INSIDE THE ROOM

Mr Smith slowly moved close to the bed of the young man who kept on looking at him curiously clearly he did not seem to recognize him, maybe because he was had not been in the country or he wasn't that intimidated by his presence like how everyone knew who Mr Smith was, whatever it was Mr Smith was even more interested in the young man.

"Pardon my rude behavior "Mr Smith said calmly but didn't seem apologetic as he could careless what people think about how he behaved around them, he was still looking at his confused face as he got close to his bed.

"It okay I don't mind, please take a sit I'm sorry I can't greet you properly as you can see"Leon said while showing his uncomfortable posture as the hospital devices were attached to him, he seem to have regain his composure and was now calmly looking at the man who was able to shake his cold father and held enough power to shake his family.

"Oh! it okay I understand.." Mr Smith said friendly that one would deny that he was the same cold man who made people tremble in his presence. Clearing his throat he said.

" you see a lot of people call me Mr Smith but the name I was given by my parents is Alexander, however I am here today as Emilia's father" Mr Smith said as politely as he could for the young man was somebody he owe big time if not for him he wouldn't know what to do, his daughter was very important to him enough for him to do so.

Hearing that Leon was delighted he looked at him with more attention than before and that didn't go unnoticed by the man.

"You are her father?" he asked curiously, and he nodded in approval.

"How is she doing now?"Leon asked clearly he seem concerned about her

"She is fine now, I asked her to go home she had been here all night"Mr Smith said leaving a good impression for his daughter, Leon thought about it for a while and then continue staring at him attentively.

"I'm sure there is more of your visit.. please I'm all ears"Leon said giving room for his hidden intentions.

"You got me young man that is not my only reason to be here, you see I'm a single father.. I don't know much about girls things however when it come to Emilia I'm willing to do everything for her and I know what you did, you saved my daughter's life, as a father I am very grateful I do owe you one, and if there is anything you want me to do for you let me know I will try my best to do it for you" he said looking at the man on bed who kept listening to him silently but then he added.

" Anything but showing mercy to your family..." Mr Smith said his eyes showing determination and chilling coldness but Leon didn't flinch he calmly looked at the man, it looks like he was greatly offended' Leon thought.

" What if that is the only thing that I want....will you compromise?" Leon said calmly observing the man who currently seem amused by his words.

As if he has expected this from him the man let out a small chuckle before saying.

" well that depends how far you can go for their sake..." Mr Smith challenged knowing everything was going exactly how he had planned.

In that quiet hospital room nobody knew what the two talked about but..

Later on after a long conversation between the two Mr Smith got out of the room and when he did the Brown family looked at him in worry waiting for him to say something, seeing their worried expression Mr Smith said nothing instead he took out his phone and called someone.

"Hello! William take care of the chaos in Brown family.. also I want you to take care of the reporters,... yes right now I want you to take care of it" he said then end the call before resuming his cold expression. He turn to look at father Brown who seem surprised by the change of heart.

"Everything should be alright by now Mr Brown, we shall see each other very soon .. I hope you won't mind coming over to my house for dinner I will send you the date" Mr Smith said more like a command rather than a request.

"Of course Mr Smith it will be an honor to be there I will be waiting for your invitation" Mr Brown said politely despite the shock he got from how things suddenly changed.

Hearing that Mr Smith laughed loudly and everyone was surprised to hear that even his men were uncomfortable.

"Good, that is why I like you Mr Brown too bad you have such stupid son" Mr Smith said looking at Richard who seem embarrassed, he looked at him with distaste, the boy was such disappointment.

"I hope we can still work together in the future" Mr Smith said calmly looking back to the relieved man, hearing his words Mr Brown was delighted he quickly nodded.

"Yes Mr Smith of course we will " he said happily shaking hands with the man whom minutes ago wanted his downfall how ironic!

"Good then " Mr Smith said nodding his head to elder Brown whom he just ignored moments ago how people can change in a matter of seconds grandma Brown thought.

Bur before he took his leave Mr Smith turn to look at Mr Brown and said

"You got a nice boy there " he said looking at the closed door

" Leon I mean he is a nice kid " Mr Smith said delightfully as he remember their last conversation, not waiting for his reply Mr Smith left leaving everyone puzzled,

without wasting time they all immediately enter the VIP room only to find Leon struggling to get a glass of water

"Tsk! tsk! look at you why didn't you ask for help? "said Joanna who immediately went to help giving him the glass of water, after finishing up he looked at her cheerful face and said.

"Thank you my lovely sister " Leon said and everyone watched their playful behavior but then someone blurted out.

"So what did that old rag tell you" Richard said immediately earning cold glare from everyone.

"What!? aren't you all curious about it too"he said innocently not caring about the displeased look he got from them.

"Yes brother what did you and that Mr Smith talk about" Joanna asked with sparkling eyes waiting eagerly for an answer Leon looked at everyone's curious gaze and said.

"My dear sister didn't you say that you wanted to go shopping.. there l helped you get rid the obstacles, am I not a cool brother?" Leon said proudly looking at his puzzled sister.
