A gasp left my mouth when my eyes caught her legs. They are small, fragile and smooth. I raised my brows trying to figure out why she wasn't putting on anything.
I opened my mouth ready to ask when it occurred to me that I had almost forgotten the way Wilder runs things in his quarters.
Rage filled me and my eyes darkened, and I clenched my fist. "Prince..?" Her little voice jolted me out of my thoughts and I raised her, "Let's go" I informed then we began walking again. My eyes just won't leave her legs, I was way too angry to even think straight.
After an hour of walking about, I got tired and my skin was burning. I wasn't dressed in my Royal regalia, I just wore a simple shirt and black jeans.
My comfort comes first!
I stopped at a restaurant when I heard her stomach make a disturbing noise. Her burrows were furrowed, perhaps she was confused.
There was an empty table somewhere close so I sat there. I don't like attention one bit, the more reason why I dress the way I do.
My thoughts were disrupted when I heard some girls laughing besides us. I was so entrapped in their laughter that I didn't even realise I was already eavesdropping.
"Look, she isn't even beautiful" one of them said and I was left in wonder because that totally is a lie coming form jealous freaks.
She is darn beautiful..I paused for a while and was taken aback, what on earth got me thinking that way? 'Beautiful' that words isn't something I'd easily conclude about a person or thing.
That word is so precious to me, but here I am calling a maid 'beautiful'. The girls kept chattering and when I turned to face Poema, I knew immediately that she was totally heartbroken.
Her eyes were teary and also going red and I smirked at her silence. 'She should say something or was she always like this?' I thought to myself.
"You can't see she's beautiful because you think everyone looks like your family members!" My tone hardend as I stood up to face the girls.
Fear gripped them, then bowed slightly. I rolled my eyes until a voice stopped got my attention. "It's heartbreaking that dogs are allowed here too" she muttered and I choked on my saliva.
Before I could even process the whole thing, a heavy slap met with my face which led to a burst on my lips.
Even onlookers gasped, I wasn't exempted. "Who the heck do you think you are?" Her voice sounded husky.
Does she not know me? It is I, Prince Killan, I'm the one the whole Kingdom fears yet, a mere wannabe just hit my face.
"Guts" I muttered holding my cheeks then I chuckled.
"You both look like lost pigs" she added and I scoffed.
"Prince Killan" a guard bowed before me..the girl staggered.
"Prince Wilder sends you a message" The guard said.
"I'm in the middle of something" I replied icily then turned my dark gaze to the girl who slapped me. Her legs were shaking, even her body. "I'm s-sorry, I had no idea you are the Prince" she stuttered.
That word again, why do people not give that word some rest, "Sorry?" I clenched my fist.
Sweat enveloped her face up to her body. She didn't even hesitate before she went on her knees to bow down but that won't change the punishment I have for her.
"Take her to the Palace with you" I ordered. I'd give the rascal scum her punishment when we get back. "Prince Killan, can we leave now?" Poema's voice interrupted my moment.
I ignored her questions then faced the girl who was fidgeting and I slapped her. Not once, nor twice but thrice and everyone gasped.
"Tell my brother that we'll be back in two hours" I replied without sparing them a glance then left whilst dragging Poema by her wrist. Her wrists are so tiny, I could even wrap them with just three of my fingers and I must say I love her small-tiny hands in mine.
"Where should we go?" I faced her.
"The moon river?" She asked, her voice laced with doubt. Without clearing her doubt with a response, I pulled her hand and dragged her away.
"You should not be seen holding hands with me" Poema pulled her hand out of mine and I scoffed.
"You don't have the right to question my actions" I replied her nonchalantly. We kept walking side-by-side though our hands weren't interlocked.
She looked very happy today, of course who wouldn't? Everyone that comes here gives testimony of how beautiful Tenebris Kingdom is.
It's buildings are built beautifully, enough to get one swayed. Our meals also are the finest, even out maidens. Tenebris is just like heaven on earth. So beautiful and cutesy, I also can't shake off the feeling I always get when the chill air hits me.
"Our Kingdom is beautiful" Poema finally said. I let out a sly smile as I replied her, "Especially the moon river".
Her mouth opened agape and her eyes widened, not in shock but in awe of the river's enticing features. "We're finally here" she muttered.
She ran towards the water which was shining as white as crimson. She dug her legs into the water then spread her arms wide as though she was flying.
I joined her in the water which was warm. I felt the warmth run through my spine down to my soul. "A shell" she giggled her finger pointed towards the shell.
She moved a little bit from where she stood so then squatted to pick the shell only to let out a scream, "Argh!"
My heart raced in anxiety and worry as I wondered what could have made her screamed in that manner. I dashed towards her and she held my shirt for support, I growled.
"What happened to you?" I mumbled loud enough for her to hear.
"I hurt my leg, I think something pierced it" she replied me and I frowned. "Let's get you back home" I replied.
Poema held my waist tightly as she lept to the river back. "Argh!!" She whimpered in pain again.
"A piggyback ride would do" I said. Poema stuttered, "N-no..I'm fine, I c-can".
I bent, a signal for her to hop on me and she did. "You're so small" I muttered as I stood up straight as I walked away towards home.
