Chương 31: Chapter 31: Decision

Aegon's little plan didn't come to fruition, all thanks to Mera flying the ship too quickly. Just as Aegon was about to do something important...

Mera told him they had arrived in Byeroki City.

The prosperity of Byeroki City was no less than that of Vistarion, the capital of the Alvarez Empire.

In recent decades, the appearance of dragons had become increasingly rare. Coupled with the presence of the Magic Council of Guiltina, the city had seen substantial development.

However, the development seemed to have taken a somewhat skewed path, with the streets lined with weapon shops, herb shops, and magic stores...

There were also jewelry shops, but Selene had far more in her collection, and neither she nor Irene was interested.

This was not the kind of shop Aegon wanted to visit. He hoped to find a place where he could buy or order some clothes for Selene and Irene.

Selene and Irene's wardrobes consisted only of their sleepwear and a single outfit each. Although they looked good...

It wouldn't hurt to try some new styles occasionally.

According to Meera, this world had all sorts of novel clothing, which Aegon was very much looking forward to.

Under the envious gazes of passersby, Selene and Irene each held one of Aegon's arms, with Juliet and two other beauties following behind. Any who wanted to strike up a conversation were scared off by the imposing aura of Heine and Mera.

To Aegon, Heine and Juliet seemed a bit weak, but in reality, they were Irene's creations, meant to handle various disputes in Akilos City that she couldn't be bothered with. Therefore, their strength was not to be underestimated.

Such a terrifying trio, and they clearly looked like subordinates.

It was easy to imagine that the man and the two women leading them weren't to be trifled with...

"She's surprisingly easy to please..."

Ignoring the surrounding chatter, Aegon glanced at Selene.

All he did was buy Selene an ice cream. After one lick, her eyes curved into crescent moons,

She looked just like a little hamster if you ignored her height.

Sensing something, Selene turned her head slightly, squinting at Aegon. "Are you thinking about something bad?"

"No, I'm thinking of a very cute animal."

Aegon's smile puzzled Selene. She pursued, "What animal?"

"A mouse."

Selene, hands on her hips and puffed up, looked even more like a hamster and gave Aegon a kick.

"What's cute about a mouse?!"

"Ouch!"

Unfortunately for her, Aegon's physical strength was greater than hers, so kicking him hurt herself more...

"Carry me!"

"I want a turn too," Irene's voice came softly.

"Just kidding."

Irene eventually didn't fight Selene for a turn.

"Here, your reward."

Selene, who was now being carried by Aegon, hummed a tune as her legs swung back and forth, sharing her ice cream with Aegon.

...

"I can't find them."

Selene opened her pale golden eyes and shook her head.

She was referring to Ignia the Fire Dragon and Aldoron the Wood Dragon. She had just tried to locate them in Guiltina, but the results were disappointing.

Aldoron had indeed disappeared, and Ignia, who had supposedly been in the northern volcanoes of Guiltina, was also missing.

Irene wasn't surprised. "What about Viernes the Gold Dragon?"

Selene sighed and shook her head. "I haven't been able to find him since he was severely injured decades ago."

Irene understood. The vastness of Guiltina, the largest known continent in Earthland, made finding a dragon, even one tens of meters long, like finding a needle in a haystack.

"When he was severely injured, he took human form, making it even harder to find him."

If Viernes was still in human form, the task would be even more impossible.

Irene pondered, glancing at Aegon leaning on the sofa. "Severely injured?"

The only thing that could seriously injure a dragon was another dragon, so she suspected Aegon might be involved.

But Aegon showed no special reaction.

Selene pursed her lips and shook her head. "Yes, but the specifics of how he got injured are unknown."

Aegon, who had been lounging on the sofa, sat up straight. "Then let's leave Guiltina. It's time to go."

Selene was taken aback by his decisiveness. "Already leaving?"

Aegon nodded. "Staying here any longer is pointless. Compared to Guiltina, I'm more interested in the other continents."

The Eastern Continent of Ishgar, with its martial emperor and his Five Saints, Westeros, Castellan and the Dragon Continent of, all piqued his interest.

Of course, the most notable was the kingdom of Fiore, Magnolia, at the center of the storm.

Selene suddenly showed interest. "You mean, set off for other continents?"

"That's right, but first, let's find a place to settle down. We can't live on the ship forever, right?"

Only then did Selene realize they had been on the ship most of the time, except for a few days at the Castle of the Magia Dragon. She hadn't noticed because the ship was too comfortable, and Aegon was always around.

She felt a strange sensation, realizing her life had changed drastically since meeting Aegon and Irene through that magical water mirror. Her days had become much more colorful compared to her previous four hundred years.

Previously, with the other four god dragons watching her, she wouldn't have dared to wander around Earthland so openly.

She never thought this day would come.

"So, where are we going?"

"To Ishgar."

Irene slightly regretted asking that question. Hearing Aegon's answer, her expression changed, and she whispered, "Ishgar..."

She knew Ishgar was a relatively stable choice, or rather the best choice. But it also brought back unpleasant memories, and she unconsciously touched the scar on her abdomen...

Selene, on the other hand, seemed excited. "Ishgar, huh? It's been a long time since I went back. I wonder how it is now."

Just as she was about to ask Irene something, she noticed Irene's unusual behavior and decided to suppress her curiosity.

Strictly speaking, both Irene and Selene's hometowns were in Ishgar. One had fled to Guiltina four hundred years ago to escape the black dragon's pursuit, while the other had joined the Alvarez Empire out of gratitude a dozen years ago.

Aegon didn't choose Ishgar to pressure Irene. He was interested in settling there because of its many beauties—Mira, Erza, Lucy, and more.

He intended to bring his talents to Ishgar...

If Aegon had to choose between Irene and Erza right now, he would firmly choose Irene. Besides Irene's wholehearted devotion to him, such a considerate mi-*cough* women who even found new partners for him was hard to find.

Of course, adults don't have to choose; he wanted them all.
