"I'm going to kill the two of you!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the room. 

For years, he had been the envy of everyone—rich, famous, and with the most beautiful girlfriend by his side. 

His life had been perfect. Had been. Until now.

Reaching the bed, Robin lunged at Althea, his hand outstretched to grab her arm.

But that was all he managed to do—reach.

"Pak!

The sound of Althea's slap cracked like a thunderclap. 

Robin's vision blurred as his head snapped to the side, and he stumbled backward, tripping over the edge of the bed and crashing to the floor. 

Dazed, he clutched his stinging cheek, the unmistakable imprint of her hand already blossoming red against his skin.

When he looked up, his disbelief was palpable.
