Gu Xijiu realized that The Lord was strange tonight. What the hell he was talking about? Was he trying to tease her or was he serious?
Gu Xijiu felt the pure image of The Lord in her heart was going to collapse soon. She looked at The Lord with her small mouth slightly ajar as she suddenly realized The Lord seemed to have been possessed by Celestial Master Zuo. They were one and the same!
The Lord probably realized he had crossed the line. He straightened his body and said, "Follow me!" He then turned around and entered his house.
Gu Xijiu remained silent although it was a random change in topic. She felt overwhelmed as she saw the door open!
...
"Chapter 32: Absorption of Wind Talent. Try to memorize it." The Lord sat down as though he was the strictest teacher ever. It was completely different from the moment when he teased her just now.
Gu Xijiu managed to memorize it. However, perhaps she was still in shock as her learning was not that smooth.
"Chapter 89..." The Lord appeared to pick another chapter randomly. This time, she performed slightly better.
The Lord then asked her to memorize a few more chapters, and she managed to answer all his questions correctly.
Time passed quickly while they had their Q&A session. The mighty and arrogant Lord had returned to his normal state of mind.
Gu Xijiu also seemed to have found her footing and performed relatively well. There were just a few careless mistakes in between. Also, The Lord asked her a few questions which she had not seen before. Hence, she could not answer it.
The Lord knocked the table gently with his finger and casually said, "You have only completed half of your assignment. What are you going to do now?"
Gu Xijiu surrendered to fate, "I'll run around the school on single leg tomorrow!"
"Hmmm, since your attitude is good, although your homework didn't meet my expectation, it's still considered a pass. In this case, I'll lighten your penalty by half."
Gu Xijiu was delighted and asked, "Will 10 rounds be sufficient?"
"No, the rounds remain the same, but you can run with both your legs."
Running on both legs is better than running on a single leg as it’s really awkward to do that. Therefore, Gu Xijiu took the deal!
The Lord got up and threw the bed drapes into her arms, "Get the bed drapes sewed, and you are free from compensating if you can fix it to my standard."
Gu Xijiu felt she was holding a hot piece of yam in her hand; it would have been perfectly fine if it were just normal clothes. However, she had no idea how to meet his fussy expectations!
She returned to her house with the bed drapes and noticed her three pets were gone! Initially, her bedroom was extremely messy, but it now looked as though it had been cleaned by a team of the professional cleaners.
All the mess was gone. Even the messy blanket which Lu Wu used to bite on had been pressed nicely on the bed without a single crumple.
Gu Xijiu was stunned, but she knew it was all the effort from The Lord. While she was cleaning his room, he dropped by to inspect her room and also helped her to educate her majestic beings!
The Lord seemed quite similar to Celestial Master Zuo, both of them were obsessed with cleanliness and seemed to have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder!
The more she compared them, the more similarities she started to find. Was it possible that they the same person?!
Gu Xijiu was shocked by her own thoughts. No way! How could it be possible? How could The Lord be Celestial Master Zuo? Celestial Master Zuo was his subordinate just like all the heavenly gifted disciples.
How could such a mighty god play two different roles? Was he too free?
It was difficult to know the truth. After all, Di Fuyi was a psycho, and he had previously impersonated Si Chen. However, there was no reason for him to play different roles just to trick her this time. Especially since he would be impersonating The Lord.
Perhaps, those abnormal aliens always had a few similarities. The Lord and Di Fuyi were very similar hobbies and interests. Gu Xijiu was probably overthinking.
The more she thought about it, the more entangled everything became. Gu Xijiu knocked her head and decided to stop. She proceeded to walk around the house.
Eh, where did the three of them go?
"Knock! Knock!" A sound came from the door. Gu Xijiu opened the door and saw the three of them standing outside.
The mussel was wet, and Lu Wu was in Wind Caller's sac with its little head exposed.
"Master, we ain't sleeping in your house again because we have built our own shelter." The mussel shook its body and reported. It pointed at the pond, "I'm staying there." And then, it pointed at the pavilion in the pond, "They stay there."
It was a surprise that three of them suddenly became so understanding. Gu Xijiu frowned. In fact, she did not plan to let them stay in the same room together with her. However, the mussel and Lu Wu were so clingy and kept crying pitifully in front of her. Thus, she just let them be and kept them in the room as though she was keeping puppies and kittens.
Now, she finally felt relieved as they took the initiative to move out. She need not worry that the three of them would mess up her room again when she was away.
The Lord had chased them away without her permission, and Gu Xijiu did not feel good about despite understanding his intention.
The Lord was known to be obsessed with cleanliness; he definitely would not allow his disciple to mess up their room as they were carrying his image. Two of her "pets" were shedding every day. Hence, she was a maid who cleaned their fur every day. While the mussel was an aquatic living organism, there was always a few saliva drools wherever it slept. Therefore, she had a lot of extra work to do serving the three babies.
...
Gu Xijiu paid a visit to their new homes following their lead. It was better than she expected as their shelters suited their nature. Only Lu Wu required some time to adapt as it used to sleep beside Gu Xijiu. Its eyes were teary, and its nine tails were wagging as though it was asking for a warm hug from Gu Xijiu.
"Master, they are majestic beings, and they are meant to train their spiritual power and their sense of aggression. Only then can they come to your aid in the future. You can't pamper them as though they're your puppies." The Firmament Stone spoke in a serious tone.
Gu Xijiu did not reply, but she understood the message the Firmament Stone was trying to convey. This reminded her of the Tibetan Mastiff which fought with wolves on the grassland and battled in the snowstorm to be powerful enough to fight the enemies together with its master. They should not be kept in the house and fed with good food every day. Otherwise, they would be destined to be a display pet.
Even though she understood this, that did not mean she would not pity them when she saw the three of them living outside. Perhaps she still remembered the original form of the mussel which was a little kid and Lu Wu who was still a cute baby. She had a hard time to let go. Gu Xijiu did feel lonely sometimes and hoped to have some companions.
