"Do you remember my first advise to you the first day I saw you with Ella?" grandma said as she trudged along  the field with Brian.

Brian dimmed his eyes thoughtfully to recall. He snorted hard as he could recall it was about Ella, "Yeah, grandma," he said with a nod,

"So can you tell me what it is?"grandma inquired shooting a brightened face into his drawn face, wishing he could brighten up.

"You…um…you said I should stay off that Mexican girl," he replied, guessed into her face to see if he answered correctly.
