The young woman murmured affectionately. Her gaze landed on a girl with silver hair and golden eyes, dressed in the uniform of the Kuoh Academy. The young woman was practicing Senjutsu techniques.
Although her movements were a little clumsy, reflecting her inexperience, the affection in the older woman's eyes was undeniable.
This was the love of an older sister, full of pride and tenderness, watching her precious little sister finally embrace the teachings of the Senjutsu.
In the vastness of the scene, Kuroka stood hesitantly, lost in an internal whirlwind of emotions. Koneko's face, once marked by impenetrability, now bore a tangle of emotions. There was surprise, mixed with a touch of relief and deep understanding. Her eyes reflected an amalgam of hurt and empathy, highlighting her recognition of her older sister's intentions. It was as if, in a moment of clarity, all the pieces of the emotional puzzle had fallen into place, making her realize that Kuroka's actions had somehow been a distorted expression of love and protection.
The atmosphere became electrically charged as salty drops slid down Koneko's cheeks. The tears, spontaneous and crystalline, were a pure expression of the maelstrom of emotions she had been holding back for so long. The shine of those tears intensified under the light, each drop capturing and refracting the weight of the girl's emotions.
"Shirone...!" Koneko's trembling, emotion-filled voice cut through the air, momentarily paralyzing Kuroka. Kuroka, who had always displayed a facade of confidence and flirtatiousness, portrayed herself as an independent, self-assured woman. But at this crucial moment, it was as if the ground had been swept from under her feet. Her eyes, which had always sparkled with cunning, now widened with shock and vulnerability. It was as if a curtain had been opened, revealing a younger, more frightened Kuroka, yearning for connection.
Deep down, Kuroka had always known the pain and confusion her sister felt, but facing this reality head-on was a totally different experience. The mask she had skillfully worn to protect herself from her own emotions and the judgments of the outside world was destroyed. However, in her gaze there was not only surprise and panic - there was also a burning desire for comfort, closeness and reconciliation.
On the other hand, Koneko, despite her tears, maintained a resilient posture. Her body was tense, but a quiet determination resided within her.
The young woman, usually portrayed as calm and reserved, was now expressing her innermost emotions in a way that no one expected. It was a moving scene, which highlighted the deep bond between the two sisters and the complexity of their feelings for each other.
Amid the palpable tension, the two sisters slowly approached each other. Words were unnecessary; their hearts spoke louder. In a gesture that seemed to bridge the chasm of emotions between them, Koneko and Kuroka embraced warmly, a meeting of souls that seemed as if they had been separated for an eternity.
On the periphery of that moment, but not entirely separated from it, was a slender, elegant figure in a large mansion within the grounds of the Kuoh Academy.
Rias, with her red hair and contemplative expression, watched the scene from afar. Her deep blue eyes reflected a mixture of relief, concern and perhaps a hint of understanding.
After a long, thoughtful sigh, she gently closed the window, choosing to respect her sisters' privacy, despite her innate concern for them, especially Koneko.
When the embrace between Koneko and Kuroka finally subsided, the two separated, but remained close. Hesitation was evident in their voices, a residue of the pain that still hung in the air.
