Chương 21: Arrival at Hogwarts and the Sorting Ceremony Begins
Draco had met with Holly as soon as she got onto the Hogwarts Express and grinned "Come, I have a surprise for you Holly." he offered and led her to a room where Daphne and Hermione were already waiting.
Holly was still a bit curious but nodded to her friends "Hello Daphne. Hello Hermione." she then saw that the room had two additional occupants, which were a ginger cat and a snowy white owl.
"This is Crookshanks." Hermione introduced Holly to the cat on her lap "Draco encouraged me to go get an animal companion with him last Sunday, and meeting Crookshanks, it was like destiny."
"The owl is for you, Holly. Her name is Hedwig." Draco informed her.
Holly was genuinely surprised and looked at Draco "Draco, she's beautiful." Holly hugged him, and Draco immediately returned the hug.
"Anything off the trolley, dears?" an older witch with a trolley of candies and goodies stopped at the door to the compartment where Draco and Holly were hugging.
"We'll take some of everything." Draco said as he let go of Holly and went to pay the lady.
After paying for it all, Draco split everything he purchased into two bags and then she left them. "Ladies, I'll be right back." Draco chuckled and left one bag with them "I'm delivering this other bag to our friends in the next compartment."
Draco stepped out with the bag and went one compartment over and opened it, and saw Hannah Abbott, Susan Bones, Sophie Roper, and Lisa Turpin "Good morning, ladies" he smiled at them "I brought you all some treats." he offered them the bag, which Lisa Turpin ended up accepting.
"Thank you for taking such care of us." Lisa said with gratitude.
Draco smiled at Lisa and then gave her a hug "I will always do my best to take care of those who I care about."

"Firs' years!" Hagrid called out "This way please. Come on now, Firs' years, don't be shy. Come on now, hurry up."
"Hello Hagrid." Draco said to him as he approached with his seven first year girlfriends.
"Hello, Draco." Hagrid greeted him politely "Right then. This way to the boats." he said as it seemed all forty had appeared, even though Draco looked older then the rest of the first years, appearing either 13 or 14 years old thanks to his incredible vitality.
They were led down to the lake and were put on boats, four to each boat. This time, Draco road with Lisa, Hermione, and Sophie, as they were all muggle-born, and he decided to keep a closer eye on them for now.
Hannah, Susan, Daphne, and Holly took a separate boat, though their boats were close to each other as they crossed the lake.

After meeting Professor McGonagall and a brief stay in a waiting room, McGonagall returned to lead them back for the sorting ceremony.
"It's not real, you know. It's just bewitched to look like the night sky. I read about it in Hogwarts-A history." Hermione commented as the group walked forward towards a stool with an old hat on it.
"Now, before we begin, Professor Dumbledore would like to say a few words." McGonagall announced as Dumbledore stood up.
"I have a few start of term notices I wish to announce. First years please note that the Dark Forest is strictly forbidden to all students. Also, our caretaker, Mr. Filch, has asked me to remind you that the third floor corridor on the right hand side is out-of-bounds to anyone to anyone who does not wish to die a most painful death. Thank you." Dumbledore announced before sitting down again.
After that, the Sorting hat started singing:
"Oh you may not think I'm pretty,
But don't judge on what you see,
I'll eat myself if you can find
A smarter hat than me.
You can keep your bowlers black,
Your top hats sleek and tall,
For I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat
And I can cap them all.
There's nothing hidden in your head
The Sorting Hat can't see,

Where you ought to be.

Their daring, nerve, and chivalry

For I'm a Thinking Cap!"
There was a round of applause from the students in response to the hats song.
"When I call your name, you call come forth, I shall place the sorting hat on your head and you will be sorted into your houses." McGonagall announced once the applause died down "Hannah Abbott."

Draco was surprised when Terry, who he thought was supposed to be a Ravenclaw, ended up on Gryffindor, but he guessed it was somehow connected to the butterflt effect from his changes.

Hermione ending up in Ravenclaw was rather surprising, but the cap had taken nearly 5 minutes to decide, so it was nearly a hat-stall.

"Noelle Longbottom" McGonagall called out the next name, and more then any other change that had happened up until this point, this name surprised Draco. The girl that approached the stool was cute and petite, and had long brown and blue eyes. Where Neville seemed shy and kept to himself, Noelle seems confident and reminded him a lot of Ginny.
She sat on the stool to be sorted, and McGonagall put the sorting had on her head, and it said called out 'Gryffindor' after about three minutes.

Draco took a deep breath and then went to sit on the stool, and let McGonagall place the sorting hat on his head.

It ended up a lot closer then I expected, but it looks like Pokemon won, even if it was just barely I thank everyone who participated.
I apoligize that this chapter ended up so short, but was stuck all week staying with family because my home was suffering from frequent power outages due to a bad breaker. My father apparently got it working yesterday so I am back hgome, but naturally I did not have nearly as much time to work as I wanted too. I only really got two champters done in this story siince I was able to work on it in the morning before anyone else was awake and a bit in the evenings, while being distracted throughout the rest of the days.
