Hundred-Year, Thousand-Year, Thousand-Year!
Ye Hao stood at the center of the Emperor Team, his soul rings radiating brilliantly. The Death Spider Emperor manifested behind him, exuding a suffocating aura that swept toward the Shrek Seven Devils.
Dai Mubai swallowed nervously, a chill running down his spine. A hundred-year ring, two thousand-year rings—this guy is even more monstrous than us!
He wasn't alone in his unease. All of Shrek's members felt the same bitter frustration. As they stared at Ye Hao's unparalleled soul ring configuration, a sense of jealousy crept in. Why was the gap between people so immense?
The audience erupted into gasps and murmurs of astonishment. For many, this was their first time seeing Ye Hao, the Emperor Team's hidden ace. It was evident that the team had prepared meticulously to face the Shrek Seven Devils, bringing out their most formidable member.
With both teams in position, the announcer's voice rang out:
"Shrek Seven Devils versus Emperor Team! Let the match begin!"
The instant the match started, Tang San activated his Blue Silver Grass, his first soul ring glowing brightly. The vines spread across the battlefield like serpents, coiling and twisting until they covered every inch of the arena. His mastery of his martial soul as a Soul Elder was evident, and his control was impeccable.
"First Soul Ability: Bind!"
At Tang San's command, the Blue Silver Grass surged forward, converging toward Ye Hao. Tang San's strategy was clear: take down the Emperor Team's core first and the rest would crumble.
"Not on my watch!"
Yu Tianheng roared, his Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon martial soul erupting with arcs of crackling lightning. The dragon claws on his hands glowed with electrical energy as he launched a counterattack, hurling bolts of lightning directly at Tang San.
Tang San was Shrek's only control-type Soul Master. Despite Blue Silver Grass's humble reputation, in the right hands, it could be deadly.
"You're the one who's overstepping!"
Dai Mubai intercepted Yu Tianheng, his White Tiger Barrier shimmering as it absorbed the impact of the lightning. The two team captains locked eyes, their battle intent palpable.
Both launched themselves at each other simultaneously, fists colliding with claws in a fierce exchange. Sparks and shockwaves rippled across the arena as their clash escalated.
Meanwhile, Ye Hao stood calmly, observing the tide of Blue Silver Grass rushing toward him.
He smirked. As expected of Tang San. The two had crossed paths enough times to understand each other's tactics well.
Unperturbed, Ye Hao raised his arms, the black spider spears protruding from them flashing ominously. With a single sweep, the vines in his path were severed, falling to the ground in tatters.
But Tang San wasn't one to relent so easily. The next wave of Blue Silver Grass came, even more relentless and overwhelming, surging forward like a tidal wave.
Ye Hao's smirk widened. He stomped the ground lightly, and suddenly, the arena floor began to fracture. Black mist seeped from the cracks, spreading rapidly across the battlefield.
Death Spider Emperor's Poison Unleashed!
The black mist emanating from Ye Hao's Death Spider Emperor enveloped the Blue Silver Grass. To the astonishment of everyone present, the vines withered, decayed, and crumbled to ash upon contact.
In the VIP viewing box, Qin Ming slammed his fist against the crystal screen. Ye Hao had unleashed the Death Spider Emperor's Poison.
This wasn't ordinary venom. It was far deadlier than Dugu Yan's Green Phosphor Poison. Once exposed to it, survival was almost impossible.
"That's enough!" Qin Ming muttered under his breath. He knew the rules he'd set for Ye Hao: no killing.
In Shrek's VIP box, the Grandmaster's face turned ashen.
"Ye Hao… How could he…" he murmured, his voice trembling.
Beside him, Flender stared in shock. "Grandmaster, what is that black mist? It's terrifying!"
Grandmaster's expression darkened. "It's the Death Spider Emperor's poison. It's the deadliest venom among spider-type soul beasts. I thought Ye Hao's martial soul was the Death Spider, but I was wrong. His true martial soul is the Death Spider Emperor."
Flender clenched his fists tightly. Only now did he understand why Grandmaster had repeatedly warned them not to provoke Ye Hao. His background was too vast, his potential too terrifying.
On the battlefield, the Death Spider Emperor's Poison continued to spread, reducing every vine of Blue Silver Grass to nothing. The once verdant battlefield was now a scene of decay and desolation.
Tang San's expression shifted to panic. "Oscar, quick! Detoxifying Sausages!"
Oscar hesitated momentarily before activating his second soul ability, handing out sausages to his teammates.
Despite their best efforts, it was evident that the mist was dispersing on its own. Ye Hao had intentionally held back. If he had unleashed the poison fully, the Shrek Seven Devils would have been in grave danger.
Qin Ming let out a sigh of relief. Thank goodness he didn't go all out.
With the Blue Silver Grass neutralized, the Emperor Team seized the momentum.
Yu Tianheng, now unrestrained, charged into the heart of the Shrek formation, his lightning-infused fists targeting Tang San directly.
Tang San reacted swiftly, meeting Yu Tianheng's dragon fist with his own Mysterious Jade Hand. The impact sent both retreating momentarily.
Meanwhile, Ning Rongrong's Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda shone brilliantly, providing buffs to her team despite her grievances. The battle demanded cooperation, and she performed her role flawlessly.
Ye Hao watched the chaos with a faint smile. His black spider spears gleamed ominously as he prepared for his next move.
This was only the beginning.
