"The paperwork is here, why haven't you started the surgery yet?" A police officer rushed over, waving a sheet of the procedure papers in his hand.
Dr. Brews quickly spoke up: "Head Nurse Norris, the paperwork is here, get the medication quickly."
"Let me see."
Abigail Norris slowly put down the melon seeds she was eating, took the paperwork from the officer, and started reading it with her glasses on.
Only after about three minutes, she shook her head: "This paperwork doesn't seem right, it's just a regular payment receipt, there is no signed consent form."
The police officer was fuming: "You never asked for a signed consent form."
"Why didn't you mention it earlier? Couldn't the surgery start anyway? Director Lawson is hanging by a thread, he barely made it all the way here, wasted over ten minutes on the road, and now another ten minutes in the hospital, why are you still not trying to save him?"
