Chương 18: CHAPTER 18
It has been a couple of weeks since we did the skill test that day and school already started a few weeks ago. Class just ended so I was on my way back to our dormitory to get changed into my baseball uniform since we are about to do our morning practice in a while.
I had been joining the first string practice for awhile now. I am the only first year who gets into first string so far, Furuya is out of shape so it's out of question for him, the guy literally has no stamina to brag.l've pretty much already adjusted to my highschool life now.
"HAHAHA class time really flies so fast, i
It's club practice in a blink of an eye!" A loudmouth beside him said. This is Sawamura Eijun talking.
"That's because you are sleeping the entire class idiot!" Kanemaru said.
"WHATT?! I AM NOT!"
"HEYY FURUYA DON'T SLEEP WHILE WALKING!"
"You're too loud eijun-san" Haruichi said embarrassed at the look we are getting around because of eijun
I felt my head ache as I watch the commotion this kids is making. I don't know how I got myself into this group as all I remember back then is I drag Furuya and Haruichi to do extra practice with me every night to guide them but then Eijun kinda found out about it and overly reacted saying we are doing some secret training so he welcomed himself with our extra practice after the next day Kanemaru and Tojo wanted to join in too as they heard that we are doing it from the loudmouth sawamura. Sigh
That's how we started hanging out from that point. Me, Haruichi and Tojo was in class 1-A while while Kanemaru, Furuya, and sawamura was in class 1-C.
I guess you could call them my friends now.
"Let's just go please" I asked them begging since I can't take this anymore.
"Ji-Jiro kun hang in there" Haruichi said to me trying to cheer me up.
I sigh once more. I just want to get to the field as fast as I can.

"Nice ball!"
Miyuki senpai said as he throw back the ball to me.
Us pitchers is currently practicing our pitches in the bullpen right now. The catcher assigned to me is Miyuki senpai while Tanba senpai was with Miyauchi senpai, Kawakami senpai is with Ono senpai today.
*BAMMM
I heard the sound of the ball hitting the mitt of his catcher and I feel a gaze at me so I look at who is it and it's Tanba senpai himself. Is he being competitive with me? I have felt this since I joined the first string Tanba senpai has been on edge lately always trying to compete with me, not that I mind it since a competition is also good.
'Might as well show the difference between us here' I thought as I met senpai gaze not backing down one bit and I just smiled at him.
'Senpai if you want a fight then I'm in' I thought to myself as I take back my gaze from him and focus at my catchers mitt.
THIRD PERSON'S POV
Miyuki was just crouching down at his position amuse at the competition going on between his senpai and their monster first year. 'Interesting' He thought to himself clearly amused at what's going on then when his pitcher focus his gaze on him he saw Jiro close his eyes trying to focus.
He saw Jiro slowly opened his eyes then he immediately felt a shiver run down his spine.
*DOOOMMM
A terrifying aura immediately rushes out in Jiro's body engulfing the place.
'The monster is serious hehe' Miyuki thought feeling exhilarated just like every time Jiro entered this hyper focus state. Miyuki knows that Jiro is very serious at baseball that he finds it scary sometimes since it's more like an obsession for the boy so he very much enjoys catching for him always but when the young pitcher entered this state he's currently in is when Miyuki was the happiest.
Jiro in this state is in a whole other level compared to his usual self. The intensity, power, and quality of the ball is in another level that's why every time his pitcher is like this Miyuki can't help but always get excited.
He watched as Jiro begin his pitching motion.
Raising his knee, arms up, stomping his right foot on the ground, whipping his arms out and then releasing the ball.
'Beautiful.' Miyuki thought as he watched the perfect form of his pitcher.
*BOOOMMMMMM
A loud sound echoed around the place as the ball made it's way perfectly on Miyuki's glove at terrifying speed.
"Nice ball! Let's try your forkball next throw it with full power" Miyuki said as he pass the ball back to Jiro on which the pitcher just nod and immediately started doing his pitching motion just focusing at his catchers mitt.
Miyuki watch the ball flying at him at a terrifying speed, it looks like the ball is heading down the middle but it immediately break downwards when it's about to reach the home plate.
*BOOOMMMM
'The break of his ball is really nastier when this guy is in this state' The catcher thought as he managed to catch the ball.
"Nice ball! Throw the gyro ball next let's see what it looks like when you're in this state!" Miyuki said as he throw the ball back to Jiro
When everyone in the bullpen hears what Miyuki just said, the other pitchers and catchers stop on their tracks to look at the boy exuding his aura out
They rarely saw Jiro throw his gyro ball since the young pitcher rarely throws it so they can't help but get curious about the this pitch
When Jiro started his pitching motion everyone can't help but admire his form silently.
'Here it comes' Miyuki thought as he saw the young pitcher releasing the ball from his hands
The ball flies at a terrifying speed towards the home plate, If the ball could be slow down you could see the different way the ball is spinning as it's spinning sideways but because of Jiro's monstrous ball velocity you can't notice it at all so it looks just like a regular fastball in the naked eye.
When the ball is about to reach home plate a terrifying sight left everyone watching stunned as the ball made a huge break horizontally to the left drilling it's way to the catchers mitt waiting there in advance to embrace the pitch.
*BOOOOMMMMM
'I'm not sure I could catch that' the two catcher thought as they saw the pitch that Miyuki just caught while Tanba and Kawakami just stood there stunned at the display of the huge gap in strength between them and the young pitcher smiling at the mound right now.
The loud sound reverberated in the whole field and everyone know who's the one making those already.
"Damn Jiro is completely different from us, he made the first string the very first day while we us here is still just mostly running around the field" Kanemaru said gritting his teeth during their run when he heard the loud sound as he was 100% sure it's coming from their friend Jiro.
"Yeah" Haruichi said 'Me too, I want to play with aniki and Jiro kun in the first string' the shy boy thought to himself being fired up because of his friend
"It's no wonder Jiro is this strong even though he didn't play baseball in team during his middle school you know? He got tremendous talent and he works harder than everyone else here, The guy basically works himself to death" Tojo said remembering the first time they found out about Jiro's training routine and the weighted wooden bat their friend uses to do his daily 500 swings with
Everyone shivered at the thought as they all remembered the same thing when they heard what Tojo just said. They train together every night so they know how hard Jiro works himself to get the results he have today
"DAMNNN! JUST YOU WAIT JIRO! I'LL CATCH UP TO YOU!" Sawamura said shouting as he started running ahead of everyone else getting fired up 'Jiro is so talented but he works himself to death to achieve what he has today, I too, I'll work myself to the limit if that's what it takes to stand right next to that guy' sawamura eijun thought to himself
"I won't lose!" Furuya muttered softly just enough for everyone to hear as he releases his bluish aura running ahead than sawamura.
"DAMN YOU FURUYA! DON'T RUN AHEAD OF ME!" sawamura said as loud as ever
"I, I won't be left behind" Haruichi said as he also started running catching up with his two friend eijun and Furuya
"Damn you three!" Kanemaru also began to push himself to run after the three and Tojo just followed just right behind him too. The group run ahead than everyone bickering with themselves.
The seniors who saw this sight just smiled at the sight of their kohai's
