Before Malik could take his seat, the door creaked open.
"Thank you for keeping our guest's company, Lord Malik. I believe some other things require your attention." Diamant who was now at the door with Lewis by her side said.
Malik stiffened before anger started to boil in him. He suppressed it and smiled tightly.
"Of course." Then he bowed respectfully and left.
"Greetings to you." She smiled, strolling into the room.
"I will only speak to the King."
"His Majesty has appointed me to see to whatever it is that you need." Diamant sat down.
"You can speak to his Right hand man here, Lord Lewis, if you have no trust in the Mother of Alusa."
Jide scoffed before sitting back in his chair.
"The Mother? You mean the one who got dragged away across the market? The power you control is quite one of a kind."
Diamant was unmoved. She still had that light smile on her face.
