Chapter 62: Body & Transformation
"Hulk, you're finally going away, and I can finally be free of you," Dr. Banner said, looking at the Hulk with a sense of relief. If it weren't for the Hulk, he wouldn't have transformed from a brilliant scientist into a wanted fugitive on the run.
Deeply resentful of the Hulk, Dr. Banner refused to accept that the Hulk was a part of him. In response, the Hulk glared back and taunted, "Without me, you die, weakling."
"Alright," Andrew interjected, "Next, I will draw a sample of your blood, purify it, and return it to its normal state. Then, I will use this blood to rebuild your body, dividing your soul into two parts—one for the Hulk and the other for you."
Dr. Banner looked surprised, "You mean I'll be leaving my body?"
Chuckling, the Hulk responded, "You're the one leaving."
Andrew smiled, "This way is more convenient," and with a wave of his hand, he took Dr. Banner's consciousness from his body.
Dr. Banner opened his eyes to find Betty unconscious nearby, while a flame stood before him.
"It's starting!" Andrew exclaimed, clapping his hands, causing numerous magical runes to appear on the ground. These runes quickly formed a mysterious magic circle, releasing a surge of magic that filled the surroundings with an eerie and scorching atmosphere, akin to being in hell.
Dr. Banner trembled, eager to speak, but Andrew reached into his body from a distance and retrieved a blob of red blood. With a flick of his hand, the red blood transformed into raging green blood, appearing as though it could spring to life and attack at any moment.
Andrew smiled faintly, infusing a significant amount of magic through the runes to swiftly purify the green blood back into red.
"Now, body reconstruction," Andrew announced, sending the blood into the magic array. The magic array emitted black light, causing the blood to rapidly swell, forming a complete human blood vessel.
At that moment, the Grand Temple of Kamar-Taj in New York detected the tremendous magic fluctuation. Daniel, the head of the temple, was preparing to lead the mages to suppress the demons when a teleportation gate materialized before them. Soon after, Kaecilius emerged from the portal.
Kaecilius informed Daniel, "Mage Daniel, the master said not to be concerned about this matter."
Puzzled, Daniel asked, "Why? This is clearly a demonic magic fluctuation."
"Because he is not an enemy," Kaecilius replied, passion evident in his expression as he observed the direction of the magic eruption.
Within the cave, Dr. Banner watched as the body gradually took shape, murmuring to himself, "This is unscientific, this is unscientific..."
Andrew asked, "What age do you want your body to be?"
Dr. Banner wondered, "Is that even possible? 18 years old? Well, never mind, I prefer my current age."
Andrew pressed his hand, and Dr. Banner's duplicate fully formed, hovering in the air without clothes. Notably, this body appeared younger than the original, as Dr. Banner had aged prematurely due to the hardships he faced.
"Now, for the soul," Andrew proceeded, extending his hand to grasp Dr. Banner's soul from a distance and dividing it into two parts—Banner and the Hulk.
"I always make fair deals. Meeting me is considered lucky for you," Andrew declared, producing two soul coins and injecting the soul essence into both Banner and the Hulk's souls, rapidly restoring their incomplete souls.
Had he skipped this step, they would have remained weakened for a considerable period. Restoring the soul wasn't an easy task.
Eventually, Andrew returned Banner and the Hulk's souls to their respective bodies. Dr. Banner collapsed to the ground with a thud, while the Hulk transformed back into his formidable green giant form.
With eyes wide open, the Hulk let out a triumphant roar. Finally, he was free—completely liberated.
Addressing the Hulk, Andrew inquired, "Hulk, would you be interested in working for me? My realm of hell will not disappoint you."
The Hulk hesitated and asked, "Can Hulk fight every day?"
Andrew smiled and responded, "Hulk, you're not merely a savage beast. Your life shouldn't revolve around constant battles."
The Hulk insisted, "Hulk is angry and wants to fight."
Andrew reassured him, "Your perpetual anger stems from being awake for too short a time. Don't worry; you'll have ample time to learn and grow as a person."
The Hulk acknowledged, "You, good, Hulk willing to follow you."
"Excellent," Andrew acknowledged with satisfaction. He was about to send the Hulk back to the realm of rebirth hell when the voice of the Ancient One resonated in his ear, "If possible, leave a sample of Hulk's blood for Dr. Banner; he may need it."
"Certainly," Andrew agreed, without hesitation. He then handed a vial of Hulk's blood to Dr. Banner, advising, "Keep it safe and don't discard it. After injecting this blood, you will once again become the invincible green giant, just as before."
Using suggestive magic in his words, Andrew ensured that Dr. Banner subconsciously held onto the syringe. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, he wouldn't throw away this vial of blood.
The Hulk sneered, "Weakling."
"Even if he returns to being the Hulk, he won't be as powerful as before, and more importantly, he'll lose the ability to grow stronger as he gets angrier. In simple terms, he will be a copy cat version."
Shaking his head, Andrew sent the Hulk back to the realm of rebirth, where the Taskmaster, Antonia, awaited him. Unfazed by the Hulk's presence, she spoke in a cold voice, "The Demon King has assigned me as your guide. Follow me, and I'll show you around the realm of rebirth."
The Hulk, somewhat pleased that she wasn't afraid of him, followed her like a big child.
"The Hulk is just a child, uh, a troublesome child," the Demon King remarked. Next, he planned to mold the Hulk into a leading general of the realm of rebirth hell.
After a while, Dr. Banner regained consciousness in the cave. He sensed that the Hulk was gone completely and couldn't help but burst into tears of joy.
Betty, awakened by Dr. Banner's crying, looked at him, puzzled. Why wasn't he wearing clothes? Also, how did he become so fair and young?
...
At the hospital, General Ross pointed in the direction of the hospital room and bellowed at Norman, "Is this your idea of success? Norman Osborn, your human enhancement serum failed."
Inside the hospital room lay five unconscious and enhanced soldiers. As for the remaining one, he was already dead.
Norman was about to respond when General Ross suddenly expelled a mouthful of blood, splattering Norman's face. The general quickly retreated.
Shocked to be spitting blood again, General Ross couldn't believe it. He turned to the doctor and exclaimed, "What's going on? You said I was fine! Why am I spitting blood again?"
The trembling doctor replied, "I don't know what's happening. Your body is perfectly healthy."
Fuming, General Ross angrily grabbed the doctor's collar, demanding, "Are you telling me that a healthy person vomit blood several times a day?.
