What was this? He was in a poorly lit room. His body stopped hurting, was he dead?

"I need him up now," Someone mumbled. He was alive but where. It was not his home and definitely not the feilds he was knocked out.

He was on a soft material, smooth and succulent maybe a bed.

"Wake him up now."

Anthony felt self aware and acknowledges other presence before him. "He is already awake."

Now he knew he was the subject of their discussion.

"Get up Anthony."

Anthony's eyes sprang open to see the white ceiling above. "Where am I? Why am I here? I need to be home," Anthony sat himself up. "I need to bury my family!" His tone rises "I need to get revenge on that animal!"

"How do you suppose to, get revenge on a beast you have already faced and failed," Anthony turns his gaze to a man dressed in total white, his complexion fair, he had a scabbard strapped to his waist.

"I don't care!" Anthony scorns. "I must find Undomno and make him pay".

The man gives Anthony a warning glance. "Your father would not approve you doing things this way."

Anthony's heart palpitated. "You know my father?" He asks calmly.

"I worked with him over the years."

"How?" Anthony yearns for more.

"Scarlowe.... We were Slayers Of demons". Anthony was listening, that the man could tell, he needed rehabilitation. "I will help you get revenge... If you come with me."

Anthony watches the man walk past the doctor and towards the door quickly.

"Wait!" Anthony calls out, rising to his feet "i will come with... But I need to hear your name."

"Rendo of the western kingdom". The man says pushing open the door.

...

Anthony walks behind Rendo down a white hall crowded with people dressed in white coats. He found it hard to follow being shouldered past and sometimes blocked by them but did his best to keep up.

They finally came up to a large metal door at the end of the hall. Rendo wastes no time, wrapping his hand around it's knob and pushing it open.

A flight of stairs not congested and barren of people layed behind the door. Rendo led the way in front and Anthony following behind.

Anthony was apprehensive, he yearned for answers, he needed to know more, but where to begin?

"Did you bury my family?" Anthony asks Rendo with an uneasy tone.

Rendo gives an eccentric look at Anthony before nodding. "Let's focus on the future not the past".

Anthony feels pressured to ask again. "I wan... Need to know!"

Rendo turns to him stopping them both. He gave a bold look that jolts Anthony. Rendo emphatized Anthony's pain but he had already confined himself, he would not speak a word about Anthony's family's death to him.

Rendo clears his throat and calmly speaks, "if I tell you, you will never move on, you will never get your revenge and probably die bitter."

Rendo's words pierced through Anthony's soul. Anthony seizes his breath at the thought of it. He had to move on, put the past where it belonged.

Anthony nods reluctantly in agreement, "how did you bring me back?" Anthony asks a liitle after a long somnolent silence.

Rendo resumes going down the stairs, Anthony following after with a momentary awkward distancing.

Knok! Knok! Anthony could hear their shoes colliding with the ground and giving a resounding noise that made the quiet feel like ages.

Rendo finally sighs before wrenching from his mouth, "our healing houses can save a person at the brink of death".

"If that's right, then?" Anthony feels the skin of his stomach, it was real and the trails of there being a deep hole there before was impressively concealed. "my stomach, how?"

Rendo answers sternly, "we grew you a better one, much thicker".

"What's your line of work? And how do you know my father?" Anthony was anxious.

"I already told you we are Slayers of demons," Rendo replies.

Anthony rephrases, "what is your work experience... Relationship?" He finally found the right word after a long while of trashing through his brain.

Rendo thought for a while before replying, "Knights Of Valour".

Anthony huffs out giving a puzzled expression on his face. What was that supposed to be? He thought.

"I, your father and three others created the team Knights Of Valour". Rendo clears his throat to explain further, "we hunt down the greatest demons to ever walk the planet. One of them attacked your family".

"Undomno" Anthony whispers.

Rendo nodded, "to have your revenge, you have to become one of the greatest Slayers of demons in our time, you have to be broken and rebuilt, melted and reforged, this will not be an easy task for someone with no knowledge of the world like you."

"Then teach me," Anthony begs "please..."

Rendo turns to give Anthony an odd stare that fazes him. "I have had my fair quota of students in the past. I do not teach anymore. I can only help you by taking you to the best training services. Thehe Western Kingdom has forged the greatest of Slayers. That was where I met your father."

Anthony nods taking it all in. The information was a lot to process at a time, but still he yearned for more. "Where... Do you know where my father is?" He asks in anticipation.

Rendo folds his hands behind his head and exhales. "It's complicated" he began, "a hunter's location varies every momentin time".

"Are you saying you don't know where to find him?" Anthony asks his tone rising. Rendo nods in agreement. "But you work with him. Shouldn't it be your responsibility to know where he is and would be".

"The world doesn't work that way kid, neither do Hunters. You live in a local area, you barely know any about the world," Rendo scorns "the strong will do as he pleases until defeated by stronger. A demon will not listen to reason until it's death is sure, that is how the world works.

Your father hasn't been seen for a long while now. It is the way of Hunters of the Western kingdom, live to fight demons, die by fighting demons. Take notes kid".

Rendo's words struck Anthony's pride. A chill ran up his spine and for a moment, he felt a bit scolded but nods accepting Rendo's lesson.

They finally reach a plain metal door at the bottom and end of the stairs. Rendo pushes the door open with ease. They walk into a cemented tunnel dimly lit by flaming torches hung on the walls.

Anthony narrows his eyes to see what lurked at the end of it but saw nothing. "Why are we in a tunnel?"

Rendo turns to him and gives him an obnoxious look. "This is the fastest way to travel, below the forest and lands above".

They both come to a halt as they reach an empty rail track. "Why are we stopping?"

Rendo ignores. He dips his hand into his pocket and withdraws a black ball the size of a volley. He stretches it out to Anthony.

Anthony took the ball in anxiety. "What is this?" He questions Rendo.

"Your father's weapon. It possess great power," Rendo replies "use it only when necessary."

Anthony stores it in his pocket. He huffs out a sigh of remorse "why..."

Rendo gives Anthony a spiteful stare that cut short his words. "I don't waste words, no yapping. I have given you enough answers meditate on it! Don't ask more."

Now he felt scolded, dejected, insecure, and wanted it to all end. Why did life have to change so fast? It was all perfect, jovial, and with no warning it all changed.

He would have to walk down a path he never wished for, a path that would change the principles he was thought to by his mother, a path drenched by blood.

His heart clubbed against his chest and his thirst for revenge deepened. He needed to get revenge even if it meant destroying and making the world crumble to it's knees, he would mutilate Undomno.

There came a screeching and sparks of light from afar on the rails. A car rode on the rails quickly, finally stopping before them.

The car was dark, four seats, a driver in front wearing a black suit, white shirt and a blue tie. The doors swung open wide enough for them to enter making a clinging sound in response. Rendo ushers Anthony in not wanting to waste anymore time.

After reassuring everything being fine, the driver starts the engine which gives a steady roar. The car took of with an outstanding speed through the tunnel on the tracks.

Anthony's eyes goggles in shock, outside the window he stared with awe unable to catch a glimpse of the things they came past, it was all a blur happening too fast.

"This is amazing". Anthony acknowledges.

"If this is amazing then you would be mind blown of what happens next", the driver says with his deep voice.

What could that mean? What could possibly beat riding at this incredulous speed? Anthony asks himself.

"Oh samnito, it's amazing", an outstanding sight, many beautiful lights floating top of them resembling stars, in many colour varieties red, blue yellow and so more. They were on a bridge and below them were other train cars like theirs on other bridges.

"Take us to the mall," Rendo mutters with an authoritative tone.

"One minute sir," the driver said.

Anthony rested his back, as they finally venture into a tunnel gloomy with lesser burning lamps to light the path.

The moment became somnolent again, no one said a word, all that could be heard was the roaring of the cars engine. After a short while, the car pulled up in front of a huge building made of transparent glass. It had various kinds of exotic foods and cloths which could be seen from the thinness of the glass.

Anthony turned to a huge plastic sign. "Hunt mart," he reads of it.

Rendo pushes his door open, he gets off and walks to the mall slamming the door behind him.

Anthony exhales softly clenching his fist tightly, his expression fell gloomy almost immediately. Mum... Fiona... Ron... Rest in peace. He thought resting his head on the window of the car, he let's out a tear drop, he was the only family he had left... His father was supposed to be their protector. He was a Hunter, if he had been around when Undomno attacked, maybe... Just maybe, they would still be alive... Anthony raises his head up to stare at the roofing of the car studying the intricate markings of it calmly.

His father had done the worst job of a father, for that he wanted to hate him, but... He was the last family he had left.

The door finally swings open with Rendo coming in with a large luggage and a back pack. "Cloths and your favourite treats are in this bag, your father left it for you."

Anthony nods taking both bags from Rendo before bowing his head in respect.

Rendo stretches out a blue hooded long sleeved shirt and a dark pair of trousers.

Anthony acknowledges Rendo's thought without being told a word. His former cloths were tattered, bearing holes and burnt sides.

"Thank you," Anthony bows again. He takes the cloths from Rendo scanning through it for a while before putting it on.

"Take us to college," Rendo ordered and the driver zooms off.

"The journey you are about to embark on, you will need friends and lesser enemies." Rendo blankly said.

Anthony nodded he could sense Rendo's alarming tone, his words were more than advice's they were threats that would occur if his warnings weren't carefully heeded to.

"I'll try to," he replies.

"Good," Rendo turns his gaze to Anthony, he looked more decent and presentable in his new attires.

Anthony catches glimpse of a bright light closing in on them, or likely they were heading towards it.

Fwoom! They passed by the light instantly loosing their field of vision. His eyes flusters for a while before adjustingyo it's surroundings.

They were out the tunnels, the sun shining high up. On the far side dozens of feet from the rails was a high concrete texture wall streching as far as the eyes could see and reaching hundreds of meters high. The intricate carvings and stunning view of vines bearing pink flowers hung over the wall mesmerized Anthony even more.

On the very peak of the wall were large green flags floating in the flowing wind.

Finally the car pulls up at the side of a paved flooring, leading to a large gate which was a stall as the wall. The door was made out of a special fine oak wood which could be discerned from where Anthony sat in watch. It was wide open and looked welcoming for those that wished to enter.

Anthony turned to Rendo who gave a blank expression staring back into his eyes.

Anthony puts on the back " so this is it?"

"Take this documents, only show it to officials that ask," Rendo said much more colder than usual.

"How will I find you... How will I meet you again?" Anthony asks in anxiety.

Rendo leaves his question unanswered for a long while before giving a stern reply, " say you are in search of The Lightning Hunter... You'll find me".

"Thank you", Anthony pushes open the car's door which was beside him coming out with all his newly acquired liabilities "I will repay you for your deeds Rendo".

He slams the doorshut and soon after watches it zoom off and in seconds went out of sight.

He turns around sights locked unto the door, mum... Fiona... Ron, I promise not to disappoint you, I will become a Hunter, find Dad and together we shall avenge you.
