Hearing Zen right now, Anastasia frowned and reached out her hands to wipe his tears away.
It is rare to see him this vulnerable and emotional - at least for other people, it is. As she thought, he could still have a breakdown like this no matter how tough he looked and acted. Earlier, he seemed so calm and cool while he was leading everyone on what to do. Now, he appeared to have shrunk back to this scaredy-cat, fragile little boy.
"What do you want me to do if you love someone else?" Zen started again, hating how his voice broke at the end, while she could only look at him in confusion.
"Zen, I don't love anyone else," Anastasia reassured him but he shook his head.
"What if three years from now, there is a guy who makes you happier than you have ever been with me? What then?" he asked almost desperately before he let her feet touch the floor again and held both sides of her face.
