Chương 38: Day 141-143 Breakthrough and fighting for the Dark Moon seat! Part 1
Liang Yu had woken up and immediately started to cultivate after passing some gold, instructions, as well as the manuals he swiped after writing them down to his forces. With all of this, they were way more cheerful and morale was at an all-time high.
Lin Yin finally came out of cultivation only to miss the chance to speak with Liang Yu who went into cultivation seclusion himself. She successfully absorbed all of the qi in the large glass given to her. Her dantian was powerful as well as her intelligence taking a sharp increase from the refine soul energy that was in the glass from previous cultivators.
"Did I miss anything while I was in seclusion?" Lin Yin asked Linlin.
"Umm, well a group of soldiers were killed. Liang Yu came back exhausted. The Dark Moon Family issued a summons for families to head for a summit meeting for something." Linlin said simply as if it was old news. Not bothered by the change the news brought to Lin Yin. "The others made good strides in improving burning through all the resources gathered but Liang Yu dumped out some more."
"How strong is the weakest?"
"Only the 4th Heavenly Layer." Linlin said a little upset. "But it can't be helped. He is having trouble delivering killing blows and it has affected his cultivation. Everyone else is at the 5th with two at the 6th. But they need more fighting experience and to stabilize their cultivations. Rapid growth will not end well grandpa Liang Yin said."
"Nonsense from an old fuddy-duddy." Liang Jian scoffed. "There are several people whose cultivation that have advanced quickly. The only trouble it brings if they are unstable and the body is not ready for it. Which we have taken care of."
"Yeah by consuming high quantities of demon beast meat and training insanely." Linlin retorted back. "If not for so many willing to spar and so many demon beasts to fight, it would end badly."
"Maybe." Liang Jian shrugged. "As long as we keep what we do in check it will be fine. Not a single member of our group just consumes resources by themselves. Anything taken to supplement our cultivation is strictly guided with either hunting for food, sparring against one another, or advancing techniques."
"As well as making sure to study our own bodies." Lin Yin said. "I guess that is a reason why Liang Yu was so insistent about those methods. I found out a lot while looking inward on myself. Ways to strengthen my Dantian from breaking easily."
As they listened up, Liang Yu was going through changes of his own that carried on for a few days.

Liang Yu was happy once the green Skelton had broken down fully. The ambient energy in the bones went a long way in improving his cultivation. The information from the bodies were plentiful. He had no choice but to allow himself to be swept away into the Flame Vortex Core.
'I am gonna need all the information available about what happened! And hopefully, some insights about this blasted Skelton!" Liang Yu braced himself for the pain. 'Divided enough for the others and later, now it is all me now! The powerhouses are about to start creeping around more. I have to stay ahead of the game!'
Rampant violent qi exploded from the Flame Vortex Core as well as the Dantian.
His body bursting as it was refined. Bones turning into splinters as green bone fragments attached to them. The Metal Seed spun where his body use to be. His bones regrowing sturdier than before. The green vanishing as the Metal Seed started to pulse. It turned blue the same as his flames.
His Dantian had the image of the one-leg bird. Imprinting with his Dantian as it shook and connected to the qi lines that reformed the network of his body.
*Woom!* A slight vibration as a small ball appeared. Crimson Blood Black Dragon statue dissolved entirely. Leaving only some pure qi behind.
It was a much smaller Dantian but contained the essence qi of a Dragon Martial Arts. Liang Yu was more worried about regrowing his body then cultivating that just yet. The more important thing was that he felt his cultivation expanded in strength and capabilities once more from the creation of it.
A flush of energy from the Flame Vortex Core outlined the return of his entire body. Flesh grew back in an instant with its support. Knowledge greater than before needed to be kept in check. The green Skelton had lingering traces of a soul that gave good insights into cultivation as well as a few places in history to be checked.
Ways to disable the traps inside the mountains, as well as a few in the treasure troves, were possible now.
A small hint towards the Academy made Liang Yu a little hesitant. Some of the books in the place actually had mentions of something greater that tied the Academy to something bigger.
Not dangerous per se, but something to keep a lid on without concrete fact.
"Haaa!" Liang Yu sighed heavily as he looked around for an instant. The place didn't burn up this time. As if it was restrained by something. A quick look inward made him realize it was most likely his dantian that allowed it to remain in check most likely. "During the recreation process, makes sense the overabundant energy needs a place to go. Not like I was able to keep track of that before really."
Having stepped into the 7th Heavenly Layer with the Flame Vortex and Flame Martial Arts made him ecstatic. The increase in his techniques even more so. The Metal Seed could develop so much further that he couldn't wait for the future.
The advancement with Astral Sense went a long way for finding things. Both immaterial as well as material. Definitely can save qi when disarming traps instead of the forceful method he did before. The small bits from the Green Skelton and the Beast Statues also helped move his Beast Manual to a new level.
Fire Body evolved and increased in strength. The incorporation when using it with the Lighting definitely became easier to do.
"My Flame Martial Arts is something to behold." Liang Yu waved his hand as flames danced around it beautifully. He was almost mesmerized by the movement. "Must remember to keep pushing this forward, the ability of a Flame Martial Artists is higher than I thought. There is a reason it survived along with Dragon Martial Arts all this time." He could feel the presence of Popeye as well as the other Fire Birds.
The strength of his flesh and bones were something to behold. But the process of this refining did zap a good bit of his overall qi.
'My qi should have gone a lot higher when I broke through but the cost to recreate my body at a higher level and restore it was to much. At least I have immunity against low-level poisons. But only from demon beasts of a lower level than my self.' Liang Yu thought about the Dragon Martial Arts and when he should cultivate it. 'It will make a good cover for later actually. A few manuals have been found in that place as well as the Academy, so I can take my time in figuring out a good overall manual.'
As Liang Yu thought his further advancement over, Liang Yin had departed quickly to make things ready for the summit.
Liang Jian broke the thoughts of his cousin with his own news.
"I broke through to the 8th Heavenly Layer!" Liang Jian's voice carried throughout the camp loudly. Everyone stopped what they were doing since it was unheard of for someone under 20 to be in the 8th Heavenly Layer. "I am the strongest there is!"
"A big blowhard." Linlin smile despite her husband's boasting. Seeing the shocked looks she assured them it was true. "I gave him my resources to help push him along. The fact he almost died, however, let's not mention it."
"Right, can you conceal it well enough?" Liang Yu asked as he checked the young man over. "I am sure it will not end well if people find out you are at the 8th Realm. Heck, the 7th is dangerous enough but we have the methods taken to help a little with convincing. The ground work was set back at the academy with all the different methods used to boost ones cultivation quickly."
"Well yes and no." Liang Jian scratched the back of his head a little worried. "I can't keep it under control when my emotions are high. Which is all the time still. Having trouble with.. well you know."
"Right." Liang Yu understood their would still be problems with what the Dark Moon Family did to the two. "Then let's get that situation taken care of in one fell swoop. This will be a chance for you to get justice for what they did to you two. I will deal with the patriarch myself."
The two nodded as camp was picked up and they head off back to civilization. The first trip to the forest for training was well enough a success. The biggest thing it let Liang Yu know was that he needed a bigger force to move about. A strong one at that after memories of what is coming came to the forefront of his mind.
The North Lord's Mansion is about to make a big mistake in there actions. One that will definitely end badly for a lot of people.

Two Days Later-

Liang Yu, Liang Jian, and Linlin walked in the front. The others following behind them in a close-knit formation. Composed of both the students and a few mercenaries that Liang Yin had set up. The students were his people technically but not the mercenaries.
Walking into the Dark Moon gathering was a bold move but not bolder than what he was planning to do to them while there.
The Azure Feather Clan made it just before Liang Yu's group did. Keeping quiet but ready to fight it out if need be. By the looks of things, Ye Xinghe and Xia Yuning were on the outs. A good gap between the two as they stood there but looked to show a small united front.
An individual from the back walked up to Liang Yu. It was Lin Yin in disguise. She passed a message over that she completed what was asked of her. Handing the satchel over, she did not look inside since she was ordered not to.
"Good work. Head back or stay if you like." Linlin moved to the rear. She was not going to participate in the fighting but wanted to at least witness what happens. "Hmm a soft heart that one." Liang Yu muttered. The message was the one that was suppose to be delivered during this proceeding that denounces Xia Yuning as the North Lord's Mansion's princess. 'Need cause a little trouble for the North Lord anyway.'
As the grand standing commenced, a few looked at Liang Yu's group a little shocked. Considering the banner that Ye Xingyun carried display the faction, they represented caused quite a few looks.
On the banner it said Dark Moon Family but the name written in blue drew attention. Babalu Aye was a foreign set of words to them. When Ye Xingyun asked what the words meant, Liang Yu just told him it related to their profession and that was all that mattered.
A swordsman in Ye Xinghe's group gave Liang Yu a once over. Something about him unnerved the man. When trying to determine his cultivation realm all he felt was a burning sensation.
A man wearing gold bracers that sat in the head seat looked out in mild interest. A tall black haired man with purple eyes stood the side respectfully.
These two were Commander Hong a greedy individual who couldn't be killed fast enough. The other was the current Patriarch of the Dark Moon Family. Off to the side, Liang Yin walked over with a scroll and passed it over to another elder. The stage was almost set for the takeover.
One would die today their was no doubt, the other will fall in line are he would be used for material to make Liang Yu and his forces stronger. Either way, Liang Yu would accomplish his goals.
"Is he really planning to take over the Dark Moon Family?" Ye Xinghe still didn't believe it. Considering he herd nothing during the last month about Liang Yu's actions towards anything he didn't believe it at all still. Looking over at the Ye members he definitely could tell they were stronger. 'What did they go through in the last month?'
