Chapter 264: Matilda Hogan
Olivia POV
I finally understood the phrase “organized chaos” which had always struck me as a bit of an oxymoron. At least until I walked into the warehouse.
The space was indeed filled with shipping boxes and crates holding all the stock produced to that point, bought and paid for, but of no real use to us there.
To actually make the money back we’d already invested in production, we had to get the toys to clients, and fast.
Things were even worse when we arrived. Most of the employees were just standing around, not sure what to do, while some of the higher-ups had a rip-roaring argument in the shipping manager’s office. The shipping manager himself was nowhere to be found.
There was a time I might have been more suspicious, but even our enemies wouldn’t go that far. It would be too much of a risk.
“This isn’t good,” Jenny said.
“Nope,” I agreed.
“Should we go get Luke? In case things get physical I mean.”
