Chương 84: Hornvein: Ending

Lucian panted as he stumbled off the demon's corpse, "Damn...." he said as his legs wobbled, "Is it over...?" 

As he stumbled on the steaming and melting stone of the street, he looked at the body of Euryale that slowly began to turn into ash, cinders floating to the air. The pool of blood caught aflame and began to be burned away along with the entirety of her body. Lucian watched as the ashes began to scatter into the wind slowly, a massive mountain of said ashes forming. 

"I....I guess....." he said as he dropped his spear which slowly turned into Black Ether and swirled back into his body, "Y-Yea.....it's over....." 

Suddenly, a small snake slithered into view and lunged at him, biting him in the neck. 

"Agh!" He shouted as he staggered, falling onto his butt as he ripped the snake off and crushed its head in a final spurt of strength, "The hell!" 

He flung the serpent's body away, watching it dissolve into cinders as well.
