Chương 2: Ch 2: Encounter with Demonic Cultivators
Li Feng had turned 13 years old and he was living in that same village. When his mother gave birth to him, no other families were having children, so he did not have anyone of the same age to play with in the village. But Li Feng was fine with that and spent all his time by completing various quests and searching in the forest near the village for something related to cultivation.
In his previous life, Li Feng had many times read about the protagonist finding a legendary artifact close to his own birthplace in an area that looked normal from outside. So Li Feng was hoping for something similar to happen with him. But it turned out that he was not that kind of protagonist and nothing so helpful happened with him.
He had managed to gather a decent number of various kinds of cards in the last decade and he had not used even one of them. That was because there was no item near him that was worthy of this cheat item. But still Li Feng did not give up and was even planning to take his whole family to a city after growing up a bit more to increase his chances of encountering something related to cultivation.
But before he could fulfill that wish, a group of men and women wearing black and red robes suddenly appeared in the village. These people suddenly came into everyone's view in a very magical way. Li Feng's eyes immediately lit up after seeing that and he thought that these people must be the legendary cultivators he was searching for so long.
It turned out that the village chief also knew about cultivators and he greeted these people in a very polite way. But his polite gesture was not returned and one of the men in a red robe did something. Immediately blood started to come out from all over the village chief's body and in no time his body turned into a dried husk.
This scene was very terrible and all the villagers presence in the scene immediately started to shout in fear. That irritated these evil cultivators and two others among them took action. Immediately this peaceful and remote village turned into a slaughter house.
Li Feng tired his best to somehow save his and his parents life. For that he used one of his regular upgradation cards on the best steel sword that this village had. He wanted to use a card of higher grade but for a common item not related to cultivation or spiritual energy, only the lowest grade cards were usable.
But Li Feng's efforts were for naught. At the end of the day he was still just a little kid barely old enough to handle the weight of a sword.
Cards could only be used once for each thing so his sword was just somewhat better than a run of the mill common sword. He was not able to stop the evil cultivators at all and all the villagers including his parents were killed by them.
But even after all that killing, there was not even a drop of blood on the ground of the village. Using some kind of mystical and demonic powers, these cultivators had sucked in all blood.

Even after all the villagers were killed, Li Feng was still alive only for one reason. In the middle of killing these people, the leader of the group noticed that Li Feng might have the talent for cultivation. So after killing all the villagers, he checked that with his talent discerning stone and he found out that it was really true. He immediately became very happy.
As they were part of a demonic sect and were always in war with righteous sects, they were unable to recruit disciples in normal ways. So most of the time, the demonic cultivators going out for a mission would bring back children with the potential to cultivate and that children would become a new disciple for the sect.
The cultivator who found that new disciples would also get a good reward from the sect for finding a cultivation seed. That was the reason why the leader of this team was happy after finding Li Feng. For him currently Li Feng was like a walking bag of wealth.
So the leader quickly captured Li Feng and went away from the village with him team. It turned out that this was not the only village that their team was targeting. After destroying this village he went to two more villages and destroyed them too in the same way. But unfortunately he did not find anyone else capable of cultivation in those two villages.
It was very improbable for a person with cultivation talent to appear in a family that never had a cultivator before. Li Feng was just an exception as most of the time without having a cultivator in the bloodline, it was almost impossible for someone to have the talent for cultivation.
So the leader did not worry much about not finding a second person with cultivation talent and quickly returned back to his sect. If they stayed outside for too long after killing so many people, the righteous cultivators would start to attack them relentlessly. So it was very important for them to return back to the safety of the sect as soon as possible after doing so much killing.
Li Feng was paralyzed by some kind of demonic art and was unable to move his body even a little bit. But his thoughts were still clear and he was able to hear the conversation among these cultivators.
After some time had passed Li Feng had managed to calm down a little bit. He was definitely going to take revenge for his parents but now was not the time. He needed to get stronger and only then he would be able to fulfill his revenge. So he was paying as much attention as possible to hear what these evil cultivators were saying in order to learn more information about the place where he was going next.
That was how Li Feng had his first encounter with demonic cultivators and demonic sects.
