Chương 27: I still blame myself....

"Si Jingyun, even after all the images circulating on the internet, why do you still believe me?" Bai Liyue questioned.

Si Jingyun smiled. "Because I love you, Ziyue and you love me. I believe in you. You would never do such a thing. You will never betray me."

"You trust me that much?"

"Of course," Si Jingyun nodded. "If you don't believe me, ask Ningning. Isn't it, Ningning?"

Being called, Song Ning was left with no other option but to nod her head. "Yes, Ziyue. You would never do such a thing. I mean, just look at Jingyun. He's so handsome and better looking than that businessman. Why would you sleep with someone else when you have such a good-looking and caring fiance by your side?"

"That's a relief," Bai Liyue breathed a loud sigh and patted her chest. "If I am innocent, then why did I commit suicide? I mean, Yuan Li told me that I jumped from the terrace of the building. Why did I do that?"

Song Ning shook her head. "I don't know."

"I heard that you were at the party with me?" Bai Liyue inquired. She wanted to know about this incident as much as she could. After getting out of this hospital, the first thing she needed to do was to clear out her blackened reputation. Only then, she could step inside the acting industry and achieve her dream to become an actress.

She needed to know all the information and get the real truth out as soon as possible. As for whether she could fully believe in Sing Ning's words was an entirely different matter altogether.

"Yes, I was there at the party with you." Song Ning agreed. "Well, not exactly with you when all these things were happening to you. I still blame myself for being in the washroom at that moment. You were all alone when people were blaming you, calling you names. When I came out, I realized that something was wrong."

"That's when I heard the people gossiping about something. I asked a servant and got to know about the entire incident. I was so shocked and I quickly ran to find you. But, I was too late. When I reached the terrace, you have already jumped down. There was nothing I could do to save you. However, I am so glad that you woke up."

"Me too." Bai Liyue agreed. "I am glad I woke up too."

"Okay, girls." Si Jingyun interrupted in between. "Ziyue, you need to rest as much as possible and get well soon. If this incident wouldn't have occurred, then we would have gotten married to each other by now."

"But, no worries, once you get well, we will have your dream wedding soon," he said. "Until then, you need to take care of yourself. As for all these things, leave them up to me. I will handle everything and get you justice."

Bai Liyue nodded.

"We are leaving now," he informed and moved closer to her. "Take care," he said, hugging her normally.

The first reaction of Bai Liyue was to move away or push him away, but remembering that she was now in Chen Ziyue's body and this man was her fiance, she bit her lips and put up with it. Anyways, it was just a hug and it's not like she was cheating on Qin Yufeng with another man.

Bai Liyue froze.

Dammit it!!!! Why was she thinking about that man again?

Bai Liyue, no! You need to stop thinking about that man. He was your past and you are not Bai Liyue anymore. You are Chen Ziyue and as Chen Ziyue, you don't need to think about Qin Yufeng anymore.

"What's wrong, Ziyue?" Si Jingyun questioned when he felt her stiff body in his arms.

"I-I... I am just not used to it," she replied.

"Oh...." Si Jingyun nodded with a small apologetic smile. "Sorry, I almost forgot that you have memory loss. Right now, I am practically a stranger to you. So, sorry."

"It's fine. You don't need to apologize," Bai Liyue said politely but in her heart, she did not mean those words. She really didn't want this man to touch her. Moreover, she did not like his perfume. It was very feminine. If she remembered well, then this perfume was 'Lavender Breeze' and she didn't like floral scents that much.

Why was Si Jingyun wearing a woman's perfume?

Suddenly, something clicked in her mind and she glanced at Song Ning. Was Song Ning wearing the same perfume? She wanted to find out. If she does, then this could be her first clue. Maybe, she can find out if there is something going on between these two people.

After Si Jingyun, Song Ning hugged her next, "Take care and get well soon, Ziyue."

"I will."

Bai Liyue looked at her with a glint in her eyes. She was correct. These two were definitely having an affair. Song Ning was wearing the exact same perfume and on top of it, she did have a small hickey on her neck.

"I will come to meet you often," Song Ning promised before leaving.

After Si Jingyun and Song Ning left, many things got cleared in Bai Liyue's mind.

First of all, her fiance didn't love her but he pretended to be in love with her. Because she was sure that he was trying to get into her good books. He was trying to make a good impression on her. Why? She had no answer for now. Moreover, when he said that he believed that she had no affair with the businessman, he wasn't lying.

He believed in her and wanted to clear her reputation. Yet, she was very clear about one thing. Si Jingyun had created a facade of being a perfect, gentlemanly man. She could see that he was anything but that. His real face, his real nature was something else from what he was displaying.

Yes, he had the charm, the looks, the words but he could never fool her. Also, he was cheating on her. He was having an affair with Song Ning but he was dreaming of getting married to her.

Why?

Family pressure or business profit?

She needed to find out.
