Some of the maids were still dragging their feet, hesitating to leave their queen in such a state.

King Sek waited for a moment for everyone to leave. Then, he looked around and noticed that some maidens were still in the room. They were glancing backwards as they moved like snails.

"Leave the room, I say!", King Sek commanded. His voice was a little bit too loud.

The maids were startled as they quickly ran out of the room, nearly jumping on one another.

Alys was upset with how the girls behaved. [I have to warn them], she thought. She didn't like the way they made her appear scattered in front of the handsome king.

After everyone was out of the room, King Sek remained where he stood. He didn't even know... he wasn't sure what he was waiting for. His face showed sadness as his brows creased. Sek was confused.
