Chương 16: Chapter 16 Two Unique Students

As the students were preparing to watch him leave the gym, they were caught off guard when Horikita Manabu suddenly stopped. This caused a ripple effect, with each student showing a surprised look. Tachibana Akane, who was standing behind him, made a noise, not anticipating the sudden stop. Compared to the others, the small group of Fang Li began to feel uneasy.

"…Why do I think the Student President is watching us?" Ayanokouji Kiyotaka whispered to Kushida Kikyou with a blank expression.

Kushida Kikyou looked at him with a similar expression, and they both came to the same conclusion.

As for Horikita Suzune, she saw Horikita Manabu's sight cast in their direction and became stiff, frozen in place and unable to move.

Only Fang Li, who was facing Horikita Manabu's line of sight, remained calm and said nothing.

However, Horikita Manabu seemed to nod to himself before turning and walking straight towards Fang Li.

This sudden move made all the students present finally notice Fang Li's existence. Some students recognized Fang Li from the morning and looked at Horikita Manabu's direction, feeling anticipation.

The sight of the entire gym's students began to focus on Fang Li's group.

"This is a bit too eye-catching now…"

"It is, isn't it," Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, who was an escapist idealist, and Kushida Kikyou, who was always cheerful, both became uncomfortable.

Horikita Suzune's body became even stiffer as Horikita Manabu approached. This behavior was not her usual style, and one could imagine how much Horikita Manabu's close proximity had shaken her.

Unfortunately, Horikita Manabu did not even look at Horikita Suzune, acting as if he did not know her. He approached Fang Li instead.

"So you decided to come?" Horikita Manabu's voice was calm, as always.

"It's just to take a look," Fang Li replied nonchalantly, maintaining his composure.

Horikita Manabu pushed his glasses, responding with a nod. "I see. You're a student of Class 1-D, then?"

Before Fang Li could respond, the people around them started clamoring.

"No way!"

"D-Class?"

"You must be kidding."

"That person raced with the Student President this morning. He's a new student, right?"

"I didn't expect that he was actually a D-Class student…"

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka and Kushida Kikyou immediately became puzzled.

"What's the problem with D-Class?"

"Is there something wrong with our class?"

However, no one answered their questions.

Fang Li glanced at the whispering people around him and immediately withdrew his gaze, unaffected by their comments.

"I am indeed a D-Class student," said Fang Li calmly to Horikita Manabu. "Is there a problem?"

Horikita Manabu closed his eyes and shook his head, replying, "No, nothing." He then asked Fang Li if he planned to join any club.

"Nope," Fang Li replied simply, shrugging his shoulders. "I just came to see it. you don't have care about me that much."

Horikita Manabu stared at Fang Li with deep meaning and then suddenly changed the subject, stunning everyone present. "It is said that in this new student entrance exam, there were two very unique students," he said.

Fang Li raised his brows but did not say anything, while Horikita Manabu disregarded the reaction of the people around him and continued to talk.

"The first unique student appeared in the written test," Horikita Manabu said. "The Advanced Nurturing High School's entrance exams are divided into two types: written and interviews. The unique student scored 50 points on all the written tests, each subject having this score. There is no deviation."

Everyone present was dumbfounded upon hearing this news. Horikita Suzune and Kushida Kikyou showed a surprised expression, while Ayanokouji Kiyotaka raised his eyes slightly and kept silent. The rest had similar reactions.

"The second student is even more shocking," continued Horikita Manabu. "To be honest, I didn't even think of such an example. His written test was empty, and the interview was skipped directly. It can be said that the entire entrance exam was given up completely."

Upon hearing this news, people around them could only express their surprise and confusion. "Keeping the whole written test blank? Interview completely skip? Does that guy really want to enter school?"

Smart people knew that it was impossible not to catch the attention of the Student President who was standing at the top of the school if someone gave up the entire entrance exam. Horikita Manabu called the two students "unique" because the other party had done so.

"That student was still admitted to the school," Horikita Manabu whispered to Fang Li. "Obviously, it was the equivalent of giving up the entrance exam. That way, it's almost as if he knew in advance that he would be accepted anyway."

Horikita Manabu then asked Fang Li, "How much do you know about the 'Rules' of this school?" in a low voice, expressing his concerns.

Fang Li's expression remained unchanged, as usual.

Fang Li's mind was elsewhere as he pondered the situation of the school. "It's clear that the Student Council holds significant authority here. It's unlike any school I've seen before. They even have access to the results of the entrance exam," he thought to himself. Fang Li didn't give any indication of his thoughts to the others.

"It makes me curious about what will happen next," he thought before turning to leave the gym.

Ayanokouji Kiyotaka and Kushida Kikyou were surprised by Fang Li's sudden departure and quickly followed him out, calling out to him as they went.

Horikita Suzune, however, remained behind, her eyes filled with complexity as she watched her brother, Horikita Manabu. Despite her presence, he ignored her completely, causing her to bite her lip and leave the gym.

The other students in the gym were equally confused, not understanding what had just happened and looking at each other in bewilderment.

Tachibana Akane called out to Horikita Manabu tentatively, but he didn't respond, instead watching Fang Li leave.

"Nanaya Fang Li," he said to himself, "I hope you can surprise me."
